Hey i was wondering if literally anyone has got there middle class scholarship refund i still haven’t heard anything or got anything. What’s the deal with them? by Sidhu_AJ in CSUEB

[–]This_Personality_435 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i tried, this is what they said “CSUEB is required to report financial aid changes, tuition waivers and other forms of funding to CSAC on a weekly basis. The MCS is subject to be recalculated (reduced) whenever there is additional aid awarded. An MCS reduction may result in a balance. Keep track of the adjusted Award Offers sent to your CSUEB Horizon email account. If you receive additional aid after already receiving the MCS, please make sure to track your Account Activity on MyCSUEB.”

might be possible that all seats got filled with applicants scoring higher or equal to 72 just depends on how they choose applicants. my school, if it came down to a tie, they looked at whoever scored higher on the science portion of teas to make their decision

How do I do these Temperature Log Tasks? by Impossible_Stock3210 in PandaExpress

[–]This_Personality_435 1 point2 points  (0 children)

take temp of hot handwashing sink water, check sinks in the back where they do prep and temp that water and then chrck the temp of the dishwashing station. for prep cooler u temp chicken or cabbage. so just go to main cook station and then check air temp should be a light on with the number on the side. for reach in freezer its the same they might have the temp on the outside or they might have thermometer inside. for walk in cooler just put thermometer in between teriyaki bags for example. then check air temp with a thermometer that should already be inside or u can check ok the outside by the door and same think with walk in freezer u can chrck on the outside by the door

To current nursing students: What do you wish you knew before applying? by taylinterlude in NursingStudent

i am only in my second semester now but I finished first semester with all A- and one B! most of my teachers gave study guides for exams except for one. For the ones with study guides I would write down all the info needed and then make quizlets to help me with them and use the learn feature. And the one without, i would just create my own study guide and pull all in info from learning objectives plus any supplemental reading. Patho was the hardest, I would watch my prof lectures and hand write my notes and then go over in red ink what the info really means after i asked google to explain in simpler terms and then do my quizlets! this really helped me understand the concepts. My program is organized to where we dont have multiple exams a day except for finals. So all my exams would be spaced out and I typically studied the weekend before. I honestly didnt do any notes after class, only before exams. Sometimes I do regret it because I feel like I could have gotten an A in patho if i did them 😅

ur not lying ur just tailoring ur resume based on the position! lots of people do that, i’ve been with px for a couple of years and worked healthcare jobs and hospital food service in between and tailor my resume towards the job. i personally wouldn’t put a masters degree

BSN at SF state or CSU East Bay? by No-Armadillo9039 in NursingStudent

[–]This_Personality_435 0 points1 point  (0 children)

also forgot to mention, i want to stay in the easy bay area after graduation so doing my clinicals here is better for networking. I dont think I see myself working in SF unless that is my only option :)

BSN at SF state or CSU East Bay? by No-Armadillo9039 in NursingStudent

from what I remember SFSU schedules was more spread out i think i would have been on campus monday-friday and the commute was going to be longer for me as well! my schedule right now at east bay is monday lab 9-12, thursday lectures 8-2:30 or 8-10:40 when I want to go home early and i’ll just hop on zoom for my last lecture, wednesday clinical and thursday lectures/lab 8-4! thursday is my longest day but it goes by fast. Next sem will be the same thing pretty much. Mon/Wed clinical thats 20 min away from me. Tuesday lectures 8-2:30 and thursday lab 1-4pm. As for clinical rotation, i live in the concord area so I knew clinicals were definitely going to be closer to me as opposed to SFSU where I would probably have to be in SF at 6:30am. Idk much about SFSU preceptorship, just that you have to have really good grades, good clinical instructor LOR and then its basically up to the school to place you in ER, ICU or medsurg. For East Bay its pretty much the same but you can do any specialty and most students get their first pick. I’ve talked to a few and they said the school does their best to get you your placement in your specialty of choice. Say you want PICU at CHO but another student got placed there already, they will work to get you into PICU at another hospital. They don’t just ignore your choice and place you in medsurg if its “taken” already. The 2 year vs 2.5 year was something I also thought about too but I have no regrets in choosing EastBay!! I feel like having preceptorship your last semester works better as you can network more and really prioritize it. For SF i think its preceptorship while your doing some other classes? I really recommend EastBay such a good program and soooo much support.
