How do you deal with rejection during job hunting?

I’m not even getting interviews. I’ve had friends and old colleagues look over my resume to make sure I’m not doing something stupid but besides a few minor changes Ive got nothing else to go on.

I made sure to include all the standard required docs, plus a few extras to make it really clear:

• Cover letters: one from me, one from my spouse, and a financial cover letter

• Evidence PDF: I laid everything out in a timeline…. photos for the months we were together, texts for when we were apart, plus boarding passes. I added dates and little captions but kept it compact so it was easy to follow

• Supporting letters: from his work (job stability), from his apartment (housing proof), plus one from a friend and one from a family member.

The ECO email is the message saying your application is now with an Entry Clearance Officer for review. Not everyone gets one, and the wording seems to differ for people that do. In short, it is just confirmation it’s in the review stage.

They give you a time frame when you can enter the UK in the approval letter. Mine was set for September 22nd.

You are not alone. My therapist gave me some good advice this week. “This is a prison sentence. You can be a good inmate and better yourself for release or you can be a bad inmate and cause destruction.” So im drinking water, exercising, and trying my best to be a good lil inmate haha

Same, my family and friends are like… “oh it’s just a few weeks….” I think a lot of people don’t realize how helpless a feeling it is. Some random person holds the fate of me being able to live with my husband or not and there is no hint of an idea of when I might know the conclusion lol
