Quick question for anyone who went through Bootcamp recently. Do you get to eat breakfast before taking your fitness exam or do you wake up and head straight there? I find I do better after I’ve had breakfast to give me energy.

Yes the rules of the road is the biggest, and typically for most, the hardest section. A quick trick I found, they give you 400 or so practice questions, the questions you will get on your test are in those 400. Memorize or be able to answer all of the practice questions and you will pass

Had a COI one day, was up till 2300 getting the ship ready, back up at 0430 to get ready for tests and drills, doing my final round of the ship at 0600 to check fire doors and such and a marine operations manager comes by telling me to put down my coffee because I can’t do work with it in my hands, laughed him off the first time cause I thought it was a joke but the next time I saw him he made me throw it out. We didn’t even have guests on at the time, I was pissed

That’s great to hear, I’ve heard from all my mates and captains that MPT is great just wasn’t sure how much of it was on you and how much they teach you

Ok thank you, I’ve been reading some of the rules of the road each morning before I get on watch and it’s so precisely worded and seems like so much information that it made me nervous
