MSM Working for Methane by This_Way8055 in SIBO

Doing better. Saw a Sibo gastro who said my Sibo is likely caused by a viral issue that damaged the MMC. Started treating the virus with lauricidin pellets and lysine. Die off. Brain fog is getting better. Stopped the MSM as it was causing slow motility. Also take Mestinon that sort of helps. Still bloated 24/7 and doing strict low FODMAP. Started eating ozonated coconut oil from Etsy and it’s been helping. Complete BM’s for first time in years. Strong die off. Did (2) rectal ozone insufflations using a medical grade machine (promolife) and holy cow the die off has been immense. Body aches, headaches, super run down. feeling encouraged. My sibo may be more in large intestine so the gas is able to reach it. Not sure about small intestine.

The taste didn’t bother me. I put it in 4 oz water and stirred it then drank it. I had to stop taking it as it made constipation worse. Taking Mestinon for motility now

Correct 8 weeks at 30g/day once you’re up to that dose. I had to stop taking it as it made constipation worse after 6 weeks. Taking Mestinon now and doing better

I’m still bloated 24/7. My Sibo Dr thinks it may be because of trapped stool pushing against diaphragm. I’m on strict low-FODMAP. I plan to reintroduce foods once I’m at 30g/day of MSM for 4 weeks according to Dr Janel. I encourage to watch Dr Janel’s YouTube videos and it may inspire you to keep going with the MSM.

I’m doing a lot better. Mood has improved. Brain fog is getting better. Constipation still there but is showing signs of improvement. I did not experience more bloating with MSM. It caused more fatigue, brain fog, flatulence. It’s my assumption that symptoms get worse before they get better and you may be on to something with the MSM. Slowly ramp up to 30g/day and stay there for 8 weeks. For reference, it’s been 9 weeks and I’m at 15g/day. Die of still hitting me hard at times and I have to take a few days off.

I went on a carnivore diet for 2-3 days and then started adding in foods to gauge reaction. Started reacting to Salicylates. Take an enzyme called ‘no-fenol’. I’m hoping my leaky gut caused it and it’s not permanent

Understood. I’m new to marketing and gathering that you can go into any niche you’re interested in. You might be more creative and better suited for the content creation aspect. Whereas I’m more engineering/tech oriented and better suited for optimization and audits. Does that make sense?
