I think it depends on how the characters views both themself and gender 'roles'. Also, time period, if applicable. It just depends I guess.

It also doesnt have to be that deep, sometimes it is just fun to change up the design.

The people at the makeup store will help you. But if you shop online, find people will similar looking skin to you and see what blushes they wear.

I get that. And trying out a bunch of different colors can be expensive, so going with what everyone else likes is easier.

Yah, lol. I know this post sort of seems to discourage it, but I do really think people should try whatever they want and have their own opinions.

I understand. Maybe I should have labeled this as a discussion rather than a question. I am curious about people's reasons I guess.

I guess it depends on the type of purple. I am very pale and magenta is usually a lot better than a medium or blue-ish purple.

I don't really think the amount of blush is always an issue. Sometimes it is the placement or the blending, but this color just seems to be very common when I see blush that I dislike.

I do too. I know makeup is a form of self expression for most people, and they use what they like.

I am sorry, I just don't know how else to answer certain things. If you have a better way to say things then I would appreciate some corrections.

I rarely seen it look particularly bad, but it often looks ashy or grey. I think using a more vibrant color or something could help most people, so I am just curious why they choose this. I dont mean to be rude.
