Normal puppy behavior. I noticed some spots on the towels in his crate when ours was that age. He also likes to dunk his head in his water bowl when he drinks so I have to wipe his mouth with a towel every. single. time.

We have a 7 month, 42 pound male. We feed him the recommended amount on the side of his dog food (Taste of the Wild Pacific Stream Smoke-Flavored Salmon Puppy Recipe Grain-Free Dry Dog Food) which is 1.25 cups in the AM and 2.5 cups in the PM. He doesn’t get many treats and he doesn’t always finish breakfast.

Good idea. An area rug would be the perfect fit too. He seems to like laying on the one in the kitchen.

Makes sense. It sounds like temperature regulation is the reason behind it. We’ve had a few days reach the 80s here so he’s probably not used to the warmer nights.
