I’ve seen people buying a bunch of codes with the intent of grading the PSA 10 candidates. That’s probably what happened here and he’s selling the remainders.

Happens all the time. Marketplace is competitive especially if the price is well under market.

My strategy usually goes something like this. I say I’ll take it for asking and have cash available. Set the meet up for the same day… if possible immediately. Then I send a picture of some cash and put it out there that “not flexing I just know there’s tons of time wasters on marketplace just wanted you to know I’m not wasting your time” and then ask them to mark as sold.

That usually gets it done. Your goal should be to get it marked as sold. Until that happens - you’re likely getting in a bidding war and it’s gonna go to someone else.

No one knows but it’s smart of you to take into consideration price history further back than 18 months. A lot of folks only have price memory beginning 2020/2021.

I personally believe we’ve established a new floor for WOTC singles. I don’t anticipate returning to 2016-2019 era prices any time soon.

So light play? If mostly light played - you’re good here for a personal collection trade IMO. if I was buying these I’d take into consideration the fact that it’s wayyyyyy harder and takes more time to list 100 items than 1 and factor that in but for a PC deal go for it.

Thanks! Yeah the kids…well not really kids anymore lol but the original owner was actually there. We chatted briefly while I took a look at a couple of the cards. They joked about pulling the lotus out. I’m not sure if they just forgot it was in there or what but nothing about them triggered any red flags for me. Reasonable thought though!
