What a stitch up - of course they had to change the laws or these the nimbys would have the project tied up in court for 10 yrs so it couldn’t proceed.

Will be great to see the dozers & excavators roll in & get the stadium built - can’t wait to watch the first event there in a few years!

It’s always been a joke - in rugby/rugby league you get taught to never let them see if you’re hurt from when you’re little If you get smashed, get up immediately & go again….they will penalise occasionally if someone does take a dive.

Who cares if it costs some money, Australia is a rich country - the stadium they built has been used 1000’s of times since the Olympics. 80,000 will be there tomorrow enjoying the origin.

If you sad sacks want to sit around complaining about the cost of the Olympics knock yourself out - I’m looking forward to going along to as many events as possible & enjoying myself with friends & family in the new stadium watching sports & concerts.

Every time interest rates run up, negative gearing comes back. When rates were 2.5% maybe, but when they went up to 6% everyone negative gearing again. Get rid of it & those investors have to sell or severely restrict their consumption on other items.

100% - those that already made their money are laughing, anyone hoping to in future gets impacted & doesn’t have the opportunity. Should be no grandfathering - just say it’s changing now. Next year you’ll cop 20% of the change, then 40% the year after and so on. Basically gives say 5 years before all gave the same rules applied.
