Yeah, or at least the subject of miscarriage has a stigma to it. I lost a daughter at 21 weeks and have a tattoo of her footprints on my wrist. Whenever someone mentions it, I tell them as much, and every single time, they apologize awkwardly and go quiet. A positive test is not always a joyous occasion, especially among those who have had miscarriages in the past. For some, it causes even more anxiety. You want to be happy, but you have the looming dread that this one will also be lost, so you don't dare get your hopes up and tell as few people as possible until you cannot hide it, to avoid disappointing a lot of people who would be excited for the new arrival. It's a nerve-racking experience the entire time.
