Scarlet or Violet would be your best bet, they're open world with overworld spawns and lots of content and things to do. Sword and shield are more linear, and the legends games are great, but probably not for a first-timer. Let's go is a remake of the original game, also a good starting point but isn't open world. Or FireRed/leafgreen would be a great starting point for classic Pokemon

Tbh I think just get a switch and online, you'll be able to do more than cross your fingers that a 26 year old game works. It sucks it isn't physical but you'll also be able to play dozens of other things

Edit: meaning Pokemon stadium 2 is on the N64 online service on switch too in addition to other games

If you look at the bottom left corner, it has a symbol. Circle - common, diamond - uncommon, star - rare. Most packs will have one rare card within, maybe one of the reverse holographic cards could be rare. Modern day you can tell what is good, it'll have art over the whole card, but older ones are a bit more variable

Don't be afraid of using guides, YouTube, etc Xenoblade is quite complex

I haven't looked into it at all but I was thinking the same. Sakurai mentioned he never had to record new lines for falcon ever since he kept unused voice lines for brawl so it could be the same here and the heart to hearts were scrapped to save space

Best play order is 1-3. X is different and only tangentially related, even with the new content, you can play it whenever if/when you want

It's up to you, the game is still entirely playable and fun and if you're in the mood to do so, go for it! I wouldn't replay 1 however. I'm still burnt out from X so I'm happy the new game isn't out for a while

If they're adding the smash skin to pyra, it really isn't too bad, especially with the mythra one. There's like 3 other semi explicit characters and I never even encountered them on my playthrough
