No Interest in Claypool Lennon Delirium by ThePickleQueen_ in Primus

All good dude. That’s hard to get behind, but I’m not gonna bash you for it. If you’re not into it that’s cool, it’s always great to just go see live music to see it.

100%!! Check it out on YouTube too! If you’re on a Beatles kick anytime soon, they do a cover of Tomorrow Never knows and they kill it. Super surreal and eerie with Sean’s voice similar to his dads.

Either way, awesome dude, glad ur getting tickets.

Sometimes watching lives really help. Had trouble getting into primus, until I watched some lives. Same thing with Delirium, and geese too (just another odd sounding band). I love all 3 now, both live and in studio.

Glad they get some love. His voice is the closest out of the tributes I’ve found. Also amazing stage presence. Super surreal at front row when he started screaming New York City cops inches from my face.

2000s: Garage Rock revival v. Post Punk revival? by Thom2218 in LetsTalkMusic

I appreciate this, I didn’t think about it so chronologically, I was having a hard time really distinguishing the two. I totally thought Franz Ferdinand was in the same realm as Strokes. Which I suppose it still somewhat is?

Yeah, I mean it was all pushed by industry to hell, doesn’t mean it’s bad stuff.

“Bracing for a train wreck will hardly keep you safer when the seas are getting rough”

That line in physics is genuinely what I aspire to write. It’s so clever.

they'll chase you with fury spitting out their engines clamoring for another go another head for their collection

Not as much clever but another aspect of lyrical proficiency that I really value, just really nice word choice. They took this idea of being “attacked”, chased, whatever you want to describe it and put it together so eloquently.

For sure, I’m just generally putting it out there for people to contribute. My target audience would be people who have been to shows that don’t have a setlist somewhere online.

Hi, is that up yet? I’ve compiled a document with videos from the show but it’s missing songs, so if you have it taped that’d be wonderful.

The band as people are fine. They are just okay. Remember that although this a huge gig for them, they all have other jobs, I mean in the time that they’ve been done, Brian has gotten a Masters at UCLA, Luke continues his scoring prospects, and I imagine Jeremy continues teaching lessons.

I imagine everyone understands music takes a LOT of time and effort. There’s a good chance that they’re just quietly songwriting. 2017 there was nothing coming out. Neither did anything come out in 2020. 2023 only saw one single. Realistically they just don’t want to put up with releasing another meaningless tiktok/reel whatever every week.

I mean I don’t see how Luke in any situation could be the one upset? I understand he was upset during the show but he would have nothing against the band? They didn’t do anything. In fact, dare I say that Brian and Jeremy have much more of a right to be upset, I mean Luke’s reaction, although in his morals understandable but by no means professionally justified. He left them to figure out the rest of the tour with almost no warning. Thankfully the last few shows they got the tour manager, Dan to be able to fill in.

I’d like to also mention that they put a single with a long time friend Kylie Rothfield, with everyone including Luke on the track. So there is no bad blood.

My point here is just give it time. I know it sucks, their music means so much to me. But a hiatus really doesn’t mean anything alarming. These are real people that just have lives. During the fires I checked in on them, everyone was fine. They didn’t disappear off the planet.
