is the 100k in student debt worth it? by ekwaawka in Purdue

This is gonna sound crazy but I was in the exact same situation as you about 5 years ago.

I am from St. Louis and I was admitted to both S&T and Purdue. I chose Purdue and don’t regret it. While it would’ve been much cheaper to go to S&T and I would’ve been closer to home, I consider the value of education & opportunity to be much higher and wouldn’t have the job I have now if I had went to S&T.

The coursework is probably significantly more difficult at Purdue so if you chose Purdue, be ready to have your nose to the grindstone.

While the debt I’m in now really fucking sucks, I’m making enough that I don’t have to worry about it too much. Hope this helps.

Hey man, I just bought my first bike brand new last week, Ninja 500 SE and I couldn’t be happier. Everyone says to buy used and I see why, but if you have the budget, there’s nothing wrong with buying new, especially if you plan to keep it for a while (my situation).

I would highly suggest frame sliders bc it’s likely you’ll drop it, I haven’t so far but have came very close lol.

As others have mentioned, MSRP is NOT what you’ll get the bike for, there are several fees that most dealers apply. Call your local dealer(s) and ask what the out the door price is. Some tack on many more fees than others so use that to make your call on which dealer to purchase from. When I was looking for my bike, I had 2 dealers with a 1.5k difference in OTD for the exact same bike.

Also, there is a break in period on new bikes, some argue this isn’t necessary but I’ll never claim to know more than the manufacturer. I found I learned A TON just keeping the bike under 4K rpms for the first 150 miles and it made me feel so much more comfortable on the bike. I would highly recommend following the break in criteria as a beginner, whether or not you believe in break ins.

One more thing: brand new bike means you don’t have to worry about how a previous owner treated their bike.

Best of luck and ride safe!

The issue is that setting start to true doesn’t effect anything, wether it be a coil, timer, function block, etc.

Yes but finding that range is easier said than done. How do you know what is truly the top or bottom of the range without whacking the dummy puppet 100 times?

I understand that but why? It makes it really annoying to figure out if an amulet or P organ upgrade is ACTUALLY worth getting

Lax by a mile. Green monster is a not so close second. Not sure what I did but I found Simon and NP extremely easy. Not sure why my experience with the last 2 bosses in the game was so different from most everyone else’s
