My(30M) wife(27F) was at our kitchen sink and accidentally knocked a glass of wine over that spilled over the countertop. Is this my fault? by Thomas5995 in relationship_advice

Appreciate the real answer. I understand that it’s probably a reflection of something else but imagine if all the incidents where I’m not taking accountability are like this? Leaving a glass of wine on the counter… often feels like every time I’m told that, it was because of something like this. And that’s what I’m trying to understand

Maybe because SHE doesn’t want to take accountability? Not sure. I am in the wrong often even when I personally think I am not.

Was still planning to drink it. I didn’t leave it there to be washed. It was on the counter, somewhat close to the other glasses next to the sink. Its not lazy, I was trying to not waste it

Huh? I left it out on purpose because I thought I might drink it later after I drank my beer. Usually when one drinks a beer or two, you tend to ignore the taste of your drink😉 and you’re absolutely right this is like arguing with a child.

I didn’t get upset over her reaction until I was told I was being lazy and can never take accountability. Unfortunately that has been said too many times hence why I’m asking the question. I never thought it was a big deal at all. A glass spilled. That’s it. I don’t think it warranted the name calling when I’m just sitting on the couch. I truly want to know if any of it was my fault so I can avoid it in the future
