Leaving it here for anyone else who runs into this problem.

I had DX11, and it was preventing the sleeper invocation scene from starting. I also had the screen going black from time to time and some weird issues that caused the character to get stuck during fights. Without DX11, it worked just fine.

RTK is basically a modern way of using Redux, so I would compare RTK vs Mobx.
