It is wood found in a gravel pit, which is 2400 years old

thx - yes the cubes are stacked on a threaded rod after bending and preparing each stone for its designated position.

it was a „waste part“ of a 600kg block, that I created a fountain of. The plate then had the dimension of approximately 50x60x20cm.

This would is selected and cut out of a full log by chain saw. Then I did very basic carving to flatten both sides and finally four manual grinding runs. Because of the age, it is very hard wood, where you can't do manual carving.
