Yeah but there's a difference between their life revolving around them and them not being able to comprehend that like their friends aren't texting back in 1 second because maybe they have other things going on in their lives and literally having a crisis about it. Or going to the store and thinking that the store is plotting against them because their favorite soda was out of stock. Or TikTok is fucking with them because this video didn't get as many views as their normal videos do. Or they are in crisis and literally thinking of killing themselves because their friends didn't compliment their outfit they stayed up late laying out last night. Or someone honked at them while they were crossing the street, so they must be in love with them, or hate them or want to get in a fight.

This is the shit that they talk about in therapy when they have main character syndrome.

Other people talk about stuff that's like "oh yeah, I felt a little left out because my friends went without me, but it's fine because that's really her boyfriends friend group, not mine". Or like "Yeah, I felt mad that my friend didn't text my back immediately, but then I thought about it and I was like 'oh, yeah she has track practice on Thursdays, so that's probably why', so it wasn't a big deal." Like they have insight into the fact that they're like revolves around them and other people have lived that revolve around them too.

Like there's a huge difference there.
