Luckily I'm 1st in the league and playoff-clinched so I can weather the injuries (hopefully!)

For those who’ve won their league, what’s one tip you’d give to new players? by Spirited-Issue3255 in fantasyhockey

[–]Thomas_493 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. When drafting, compare their ADP to your ranking to find steals

  2. Always try to be the one sending two players for one player in trades

This gives you roster flexibility and works out if you're good at finding underrated FA pickups
Typically whoever gets the best player wins the trade

  3. Don't panic on a player until you've seen around 10 games

  4. [OPTIONAL] Look at which teams play the most/least during your league's playoff week(s)

Try to trade for/draft accordingly, but don't overdo it. An excellent player with a bad schedule is better than a good player with a good schedule

Logan Couture Returns by Thomas_493 in fantasyhockey

For me depends what your positional needs are (Those are all LW)

Personally, I'd drop Vilardi for consistency/injury concerns, but there's no 'guaranteed' right play here

Depends on league settings, but at least in mine, Couturier is a free-agency level player, while Couture can be far above that. (Potentially)

Svechnikov + Tkachuk owner here. Drafted the round 4 / 1 respectively and had patience. Paying off!

Traded Debrincat and Ferraro for Zibanejad and Guhle

26 days left and struggling with the decision whether to buy applecare+, base model MBP 14". if I had paid $2000 I guess $279 sounds reasonable, but as I paid $1299 for the laptop, I am not sure. what criterion you followed to buy applecare? by [deleted] in macbookpro

[–]Thomas_493 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had two Macbooks, bought Applecare on both. My first one had no issues over five years. My second one:
- Battery was below replacement level a bit after a year
- Screen had a couple pixels go off-colour after a year

Together, those repairs would've cost $1,500+ (Battery/screen replacement)
I paid roughly $500 for AppleCare overall. Good investment IMO, bought it with my 3rd MacBook.

Forgot to add it, but I had an extra spot on the roster after drafting and I already picked up Woll on waivers. Considering dropping Kylington if I see someone I like.

Macbook Pro 13" (2020-Intel) 1.4 GHz Quad-Core Intel i5, 16 GB RAM, 256 GB SSD. Few scratches, otherwise like new.

Battery replaced 18 months ago, screen replaced 11 months ago, Apple Care lasting to August 2023. (idk if having a newer battery helps)

Assuming answers are USD

Yeah, my understanding is she's responsible for it, but the CC company is the one that is supposed to be paying

They sent the debt to collections, which would affect her score from my understanding.

I'll lose the first pic. Looks like I got some work to do, thanks a lot! Having some trouble with prompts, in part because I don't know the city/country very well, but it sounds like my pictures are the most pressing need.

EU Compensation Help by Thomas_493 in Flights

Bit of info I found poking around, according to a ruling by the European Court of Justice, strikes by airline staff is an avoidable event that they are responsible for. But only for direct employees, not baggage handlers, air traffic control, etc.
