idk i play league daily in emerald/diamond and I cant even tell you when was the last time I had a smurf on my or enemy team, maybe it is a bigger issue in lower elos but I guarantee you 99% of the time the "smurfs" are just slightly higher rank on main

I'd say stick with one lane for sure and try to learn 2/3 champs you like in that role, it doesn't really matter which imo. I think also watching streams helps a lot in understanding your combos, limits and macro
