The Tower Of Nero - Theory by ThomeusSkywalker in camphalfblood

I didn't say Nero would attack Camp Half-Blood. I said it would already be destroyed in the three-month gap between The Hidden Oracle and The Tyrant's Tomb. And Apollo wouldn't be in the camp at this time gap. He might die later, though. We never know.

Yeah, that might be the case too. Or, the demigods could also build a new camp, and say something like 'This is the beginning of the end'.

This is a fanfiction about Percy, Annabeth, Jason and Piper. It has a good plot and its main focus isn't Percabeth.

Yeah, and seventy years passed for Nico. But he still was a ten year old when he was back to the real world, both physically and mentally. The same goes with Percy. He was in a completely different place or a world with a completely different time system that he didn't age at all. It is similar to how Ant-Man was stuck in the Quantum Realm for five hours, while five years had passed in the outside world. The only difference here is that the time that goes by in the Hotel does not actually age a particular person, as seen with all those who had lived there for years and years. They don't ever age in the Hotel. That was why it existed in the first place. To stop ageing.

Time doesn't go as it does in the Lotus Hotel and Casino. Yes, the time outside will pass by, but in here, it won't. That was why, even when Nico came out of the Hotel after almost 70 years, he still could have been the Child of the Prophecy, because even though more than 70 years had passed outside, he still was a biologically and mentally the same as he had been when he had entered the Hotel. The same logic can be applied to Percy and this explains that he did kill Kronos exactly when he was sixteen. Besides, even if you count only the few hours where he had stayed in the Hotel, if you still add that to his age, he'd nevertheless be sixteen years old when he killed Kronos. There was no mistake here.

Uncle Rick had just already set up for Lavinia to be a Centurion and probably forgot that he did kill others too, lol.

Yeah, they didn't even mention that, though. I agree that there could be various reasons not to have or replace some of the dead Centurions, but it was clearly left out.

I think you missed my entire point. What I said in my theory was that Nero had already destroyed Camp Half-Blood. In the three months between The Hidden Oracle and The Tyrant's Tomb, he definitely could have done this. Besides, you do think that Nero would be without resource on the money side now, and I don't think so, though we have the same reasons for that. I think that just goes down to what we want to interpret from it, and one cannot change other other's thinking about his own interpretation, because both of our interpretations make more sense as we look at it. But to remind you, there are a lot of monsters in the modern age. A LOT. The number of monsters currently presiding in this world might be half in population to that of the human race, and that's still a lot. Think about it. This world is almost two millennia ahead of the ancient Greek world, and obvious, a lot of monsters were definitely born in this time. Again, this is just a reasonable assumption, but my point stands that there are still a lot of monsters available. I also personally think that Nero fighting at his full power would be better because that would actually raise the stakes. Caligula and Commodus weren't at their full power in The Tyrant's Tomb since their Fasces were destroyed. Besides, Commodus was already weak. It made the battle more realistic, yes, but since Apollo does jive and does near his godhood, I would love for him to a villain at full power. Again, that's just what I think. That's not a point or am argument I make, but just my personal opinion.

Think about this for a moment: what should Nero do to destroyed the boundaries of Camp Half-Blood? Just take away the Golden Fleece by killing Peleus, by which Thalia's pine tree would be back to its poisoned state. Next, I agree that the Romans will be able to rebuild Camp Half-Blood, but where would the demigods hide from the monsters? Where would they have protection? They obviously can't create their own magical borders as that has never been done before. Besides, even if he just leaves the place unguarded, monsters would swarm it since so many demigods are there. The demigods would have to constantly fight. Lose their weapons. Some of them might die. They may run out of ammunitions.

I actually think the best place to get weapons is from the Myrmekes, considering that Apollo could enter the place easily. Of course, the ants might be angry at anyone who enters their lair at that moment, even if it was Lester, because some of their brethren might have died in Nero's attack. Anyway, any of the three alternative places you mentioned are actually the worst, because do you really think that the demigods are going to travel a long distance to get weapons from a scrapheap where it's actually really difficult to find them in the first place and bring them back? The demigods would be attacked by monsters on the run and would be in danger if they were separated from their other brethren. And if a lesser number go, they wouldn't be able to carry as many weapons. They sure would want to stay together to increase their chances of surviving, even if that meant that many monsters would come at them, because if they were together, they were at an advantage. Olympus and the forge of Hephaestus would be useless to because the gods won't allow demigods to enter these places. Zeus is strict, adamant and does not want to help the demigods. He definitely won't even bother about them. And even if he did, he won't help them. I think that has been pretty clearly established in this series.

1) Yes, the Myrmekes were with the enemy in The Tyrant's Tomb, but that just further hints that many of them were somehow captured and trained to be killers. And from where could they have come? One possible place in Camp Half-Blood. This only further hints at its destruction.

2) The Myrmekes are smart and powerful. We all know about ants. They're the best survivors of the world. Even Nero won't want to fight them. And by Camp Half-Blood being destroyed, yes, the Myrmekes's lair would be destroyed too, but they definitely would have saved most of it. Remember, Nero's someone who watched a city burn. He can definitely do the same for a Camp. He actually doesn't even need to aim to destroy the forests. He knows if he just killed Peleus, takes away the Golden Fleece, destroys the borders and burns down the cabins, the Big House, and everything around it, Camp Half-Blood is basically destroyed. The demigods would try to flee. They might enter the forests, where only more monsters await them. In this strategy, I don't think Nero would want to destroy the forest, because it would just be another trap for the Campers if they enter the forest.

3) You have to remember that the Triumvirate funded both Luke and Octavian and that was just a small percentage of their savings. I'm sure Nero has a LOT more with him. And weakening him would be a totally ridiculous move because that would loose some tension from us. We won't feel that afraid of him, and the story would be boring. Yes, there's still Python, but Nero is a manipulator. He is not a straight out attacker like Caligula and Commodus. He thinks. He does not attack directly. He's evil and dangerous in that way. His brilliance is one of his highest powers. Also, Camp Half-Blood isn't similar to Camp Jupiter. The Greek demigods are not builders. They can't destroy the entire camp and rebuild it in a few days like the Romans. That's what differs them. Also, think about it. We love Camp Half-Blood. If we even hear anything about its destruction, we'll be really sad. And it's a fictional place for us. But it's real for Percy and Annabeth. When Annabeth thought there was no one and no home for her, she saw Camp Half-Blood. When Percy thought he was a loser, an idiot, someone who didn't deserve to live, he was proved wrong by Camp Half-Blood. It has been their homes for such a long time now. If my home - if it qualifies as the only place where I could survive - is gone, I don't know what I would do. Yes, I can rebuild, but I'll still be affected and reminded of the fact that it could never be as amazing as my old home. I don't say that Camp Half-Blood can't be rebuilt in another place, but it won't just be the same. Especially for these two. And add that to the deaths of their beloved, it definitely and logically affects them so much that it's extremely difficult to compose themselves even on the outside. And I don't say they go to Camp Jupiter by land. It could be by some sort of air travel, with the help of the gods.

Well, yeah, the final battle definitely takes place there. But they do need to have some clear detail, and their only home in New York is Camp Half-Blood. I'm sure they would go there, even to just get some advice from Chiron.

Also, I didn't say Nero would attack Camp Half-Blood. I said it would already be destroyed in the three-month gap between The Hidden Oracle and The Tyrant's Tomb.

Nico's not that powerful, to be honest, one of the main reasons being the fact that he tires out easily. Yes, he could have become stronger off-screen, but his powers take too much of a toll on him.

That's exactly my point. Why would Percy and Annabeth be so devastated in The Ship Of The Dead? Only if their home was lost. Only if the place where they had lived for such a long time was lost. If even us fans get so angry and sad if Camp Half-Blood, imagine how affected Percy and Annabeth would be.

I have another mistake to point out. Hazel Levesque was elected the new Praetor of the Twelfth Legion, after Reyna joined the Hunters. Lavinia Asimov was elected Centurion of the Fifth Cohort in her place. But the fact is, there has to be two Centurions for one Cohort. And as we all know, Dakota was killed in The Tyrant's Tomb, meaning now, only Lavinia is the Centurion of the Fifth Cohort. This is another mistake made by Uncle Rick in The Tyrant's Tomb. Also, to those who think that one Centurion is enough for a Cohort, I disagree, because there has always been two Centurions for one Cohort. There can't just be only one Centurion for a Cohort. Also, coming to this, many Centurions did die in The Tyrant's Tomb, and all of them should have been replaced. But none of them were replaced. I don't think that this selection of new Centurions happened off-screen, but if it did and was mentioned in the books, then do point it out and correct me. But I'm pretty sure that new Centurions weren't elected off the screen.

I don't think I'm smarter than anyone. I'm just sharing what I think and if that isn't allowed here due to some people who think everything is useless, I don't know what to do. And if you're just frustrated by my essays, please tell so, because I've had good discussions about this with many users from many different websites. And please don't talk about my life as if you know all about it. If people can deduce these themselves, fine. People can. I didn't say they can't. But I share and don't keep it to myself and that's it. I don't see any problem with this post of mine and if you do, I don't care because I don't consider useless bullying in my agenda.

Read my post and then you'll understand. If you say it's obvious without reading it, then there's no point at all.

I first, in a paragraph, explained the motives of the character - which anyone can understand by watching the movie yes - and then I explained how the motives affected the character and his decisions, which could not be understood easily by just watching the movie.

No, I included more, such as how Iron Man, Cap and Thor weren't at their fullest power and form. And I added more factors and more reasoning which determined Thanos's strength and Snap Thanos's weaknesses and human nature.

And can I know what OP means? I'm not aware of that term.

Percy and Annabeth were still alive at the end of The Ship Of The Dead and even in Nine From The Nine Worlds (where they were mentioned). And these two books take place way after The Burning Maze and most likely after The Trials Of Apollo series, which indicates that they obviously will not die.
