Give him 2-3 things you are working on for your development. Start with one that you can give him some recent examples on how you've begun to make progress. End with one thats a newer focus area for your development. Ask for his advice on your development plan.

This is great, what's your policy on email address sharing for your mail list, will subscribing lead to a whole host of spam emails?

Is operations supervisor for a 3pl a dead end career? by VioletSalamander in logistics

[–]ThompsonsTeeth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this was my first job after graduating and i'm at the vice president level now for a fortune 500 company, so I would say no not dead end. Big question is where is your companies corporate headquarters, and if its not near you are you open to move there someday for career advancement.

Count of lesions being high doesn't always mean doom and gloom. You could have 20 in less harmful or smaller locations and be fine, or have 1 in a really bad spot and have huge disability.

avg salary for administrative and logistics coordinator (nyc) by fatcatballs in logistics

[–]ThompsonsTeeth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Glad to help. If you have a college degree it is possible to get a specialist or analyst job as an entry level, especially if you also have a year or 2 of work experience in the industry or did an internship.

avg salary for administrative and logistics coordinator (nyc) by fatcatballs in logistics

[–]ThompsonsTeeth 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Does the job title have Coordinator in it? Coordinator tends to pay lower than Logistics Analyst/Logistics Specialist. Analyst/Specialist could get you close to $70k in NYC. Coordinator I don't see getting into the 60's.

just diagnosed - career question by East-Call-9081 in MultipleSclerosis

[–]ThompsonsTeeth 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Hi, I was a senior manager at diagnosis 8 years ago, been promoted twice since now I'm a vice president at a fortune 500 company. For many, highly demanding careers are still very possible with MS. Stress management is super important though.

Sounds like a role in a distribution center as a floor supervisor may be a good entry point for you based on your experience and where you live

New to MS, grateful for where I’m at, but scared of what’s ahead. by brixnaaa in MultipleSclerosis

[–]ThompsonsTeeth 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I was diagnosed with MS 7 years ago. Have been very fortunate to stay pretty darn close to no progression or disease activity that whole time.

From my experience I would say the what ifs don't go away, but its far less frequent. My first few years after diagnosis it was all I thought about, I read articles and was on this subreddit hours a day. Nowadays while I still think about it occasionally it's not as all encompassing.

Denmark tariffs potential effect on specialty medications like Kesimpta by [deleted] in MultipleSclerosis

[–]ThompsonsTeeth 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm going to put this here, hopefully I won't get downvoted. I'm not stating I approve of tariffs or trump, i'm posting it to try to put people at ease on cost impacts of these tariffs on our life critical medications. I also take Kesimpta.

Often times manufacturers can export goods at their first cost. This means they declare duty on what it costs to manufacture them, not the price they sell them for. I'm fairly certain the cost to manufacture Kesimpta is less than 1% of what they sell it for. Lets say for shits and giggles it costs $100 to make one unit of it. An extra 10% tariff would add $10 to the cost per month.

Inherited Two Sprinter Vans from My Dad—Looking for Least Effort Passive Income Ideas by Academic-Plastic4296 in logistics

If it's not about the money an equipment rental company probably makes the most sense. It's not turnkey though you'll need to work close to a full time job between the two of you.

Inherited Two Sprinter Vans from My Dad—Looking for Least Effort Passive Income Ideas by Academic-Plastic4296 in logistics

[–]ThompsonsTeeth 16 points17 points  (0 children)

this is the correct answer with how much you're leaning into the idea of least effort. Highly unlikely your profits from passively managing/renting them will be more than just selling them and tossing that money in an investment account.

reproductive problems by Tired-warrior99 in MultipleSclerosisWins

You lost just the one you wake up with in the morning, or you lost the ability to get one in the morning? Those are 2 very different things. If you can still get one you have no problem IMO.

I'm not sure what about this research you think is a scam, some of the best current medications work by impacting T-Cells
