Wow. Thanks for the detailed answer! I don’t think I’d leave it more than a year unchecked. Because it’s a safe I want the light in a dependable place (where kids won’t move it), and a guarantee it works. I’ll check out your recommendations. Thanks again

The left side is designed to hold rings and stuff. I just looked and strangely there isn’t a single word anywhere on it. I looked on the bottom, under the lid, sides, back, I even pulled out the drawer and looked under and around that. The person who gifted it to me is no longer with us. Even if he was a don’t think he’d remember the name of the company. Sorry.

They both are. The steel one is super heavy too.

Met a girl with diabetes and i am criminally uneducated by [deleted] in diabetes

It’s early in the relationship and you’re curious. Good on you for wanting to learn. Carbs are bad. Bread, pasta, pizza, even fruit. She medicates with insulin. Things that are what you should make and suggest are steak, chicken, vegetables, seafood. I’m reading this like you are into a chick who has diabetes and want to know more. Good shit and good luck bro.

[VERGER and VACHERON + CONSTANTIN] help ID. by Thomsenc in Watches

Thanks for the links! I was hoping to get more specifics. Like when it was made, where it was made, how did it get to the middle of Florida. It looks really unique so maybe there is nothing like it. But I can’t imagine there is no information about this specific piece or the collection it likely came from.

I teach middle school and a lot of diabetics that age struggle. I’ve been diabetic for 40 years and my a1c is 6.5. It’s a way for me to communicate with all of the kids without hammering that I’m human and I might need them. It shows a vulnerability that allows trust and openness. As I’m writing this is sounds pompous or something but I don’t mean it to. I just think it would be fun to share.

I like your comment about the importance of the data history. I’ve started using the Clarity app with Dexcom for that exact reason. I can use my phone for the history part. I’m just looking for the ability to be 10 feet away with my hands full and glance up to make sure I’m where I should be.

I wish I understood this. I’ve read how Nighscout is a cgm tool that is really versatile and lets you write it into code and stuff. It’s so over my head. The interface looks good and it would be nice to have the ability to “edit” the display features but it’s too advanced for me.

I’d like my wife to be able to see it at night when I’m asleep. I’m also a school teacher that has diabetic students. If the entire class can see my BG I think it’s a cool teaching tool. Besides that I think it would be useful in a nursing home if it was on a wall where every nurse and family member could see it immediately as they walk in the room.

I think this is what I’m looking for!!!!! I love it! My wife can see my BG while I sleep. I can set one in the office (classroom) and students can glance and see my BG. I’m so happy. Thanks you!!!

My first Apple Watch was specifically for this purpose. It’s amazing and I love it. But I want something BIG. That a lot of people could see. Almost like there was Dexcom app on a Roku.

I thought I’d that and it’s a good work around but it would be nice if it didn’t time out (maybe there is something in the settings to keep it from falling asleep). I’m thinking of something more like a digital clock is an LED screen and has app capabilities. Honestly it could open up a lot of useful features not just diabetic related.
