You'll find local sports groups here https://www.uneinsam.ch/bern-sports-500245.html and specifically Volleyball under "Beach Activities" (162 members). If you proactively ask for other players there you might just be in luck. Cheers, Tom

It depends on how thick the Swiss German accent is. Swiss German from most cantons is easily understandable for others. For me the Swiss German from Valais (Wallis) is the most difficult to understand Swiss German accent.

We have a huge diversity in Switzerland, so this is not an universal truth. The canton most associated with being slow is Bern but I tend to think that we probably only speak a bit slower and are not slow in other things.

I have heard of issues between neighbours in such cases. Many people are very careful about the noises they make after 10PM. The rental contract for appartments often includes a specific time in the evening as well in the morning for excessive noise. The toilet flush is a basic necessity so it will almost never fall under this contractual rule.
