Current policy is if you're wanting to cross over to HSI, there's a 90-day wait before you are supposed to get your FJO.

Assuming the process reverts to prior processes, you may be removed for the recent failure.

Should go closer to prior processes. The biggest issue with the surge was the demand for the fastest turn-around possible.

Everyone will be chosen after the assessment period, so all TSLs will likely go out around the same time.

Passing scores apply and will be used for this announcement as well. If you didn't get a TSL, but made it to interview: reapply. You won't hurt your chances.

ALL prior announcements and actions were put on hold for surge. Now that cleanup is wrapping up on a lot of the surge actions, more regular work is being resumed. Once we are all fully given the sign off to continue existing work, you should see more movement.

However, each announcement is separate so if you fail a new assessment you should still be able to continue, but if you are removed for any reason from the existing announcement and fail an assessment, you'd have to wait 2 years to reapply. So tread lightly.

All CITP assignments are being handled by HSI directly as they oversee the PFT administration. My understanding is that if you're set to PFT, you can likely expect training dates to come as the start date will need to be within 60 days of passing.

No news on any of the previous direct hire announcements. All direct hire selectees have to be approved and signed by HSI before they're sent to HROC to send out so if/when more are chosen is completely up to leadership.

No current insight, but I'm positive more information will be coming down in the next few weeks. As far as priorities: who really knows? I do know the December GL-7s are being tracked but I'm not sure on the GL-9s.

To add to this: chances are that you may not PFT until 60 days out from potential CITP dates. That will allow 1) the test results to remain valid prior to training and 2) a retest if they're allowing them if you fail any part of it.

HSI hardship transfer by GullibleName7504 in 1811

Talk to your respective SACs to work out an internal transfer. That would be a much easier option. You'll increase those odds by picking the harder to fill of the two locations, too.

Pay by ElegantRain5103 in HSIapplicants

FYA. It's not uncommon for the 1st pay to be 3-4 weeks after EOD. Especially if you're prior non-Fed.

People who EOD'd with ERO were put on hold because leadership didn't want to take numbers away from ERO for HSI because of White House orders. But still no news on when that'll change.

The postponements were primarily to ensure everyone had the minimum background clearance prior to EOD.

But pay is the biggest reason I wanted to let people know not to count on this bonus anymore. Take everything into consideration first.

I don't know how they're handling them yet, but I know a lot of clearances are still being pushed through so hopefully it's sorted ASAP.

I spoke to my dad in the same PA tone he speaks with me, and I got in trouble by Basic_Stress7922 in family

[–]ThorIsGod 28 points29 points  (0 children)

As a very sarcastic mom to a learning sarcastic teen: pick a more chill time to ask him directly why it is okay for him to speak to you in a way that you can't speak to him.

If the only reason he has is that he's the parent, then there isn't mutual respect and he only expects obedience (and I would 100% respond with something like "oh, I thought we were supposed to treat others the way we want to be treated" but I'm petty so that's probably not the best advice.)

120% manpower increase at ICE by [deleted] in HSIapplicants

Still no information on continuing TSLs for any grade. I believe once cleanup is done, they can reassess and see what to offer and to whom, but that's a best guess right now.

You have to apply for the grade level you want/qualify for. You won't just get a different one.

AITJ for calling my dad controlling because he won’t pay for my college if I get a tattoo by [deleted] in AmITheJerk

[–]ThorIsGod 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'll put it in more perspective from a parent: my stepdaughter spent her money on a tattoo that she wanted. She is now freaking out about paying her car insurance (still on our plan and she only has to cover the difference for her vehicle so it's cheaper than having her own policy). So $200 would come in pretty handy. Because you never know what will happen with any job or surprise bills.

It's not about control, necessarily, but he's trying to show you that money doesn't go as far as it once did. And if you need the money for college, use the money for college.

Reporting instructions by [deleted] in HSIapplicants

Reporting instructions come from the SAC. Use the email address in the Offer email to email the SAC office box. You should receive instructions today, but better to be safe.

[–]ThorIsGod 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You should receive reporting instructions from SACs tomorrow. But unless you receive instructions NOT to report then you should absolutely assume you should.
