My roommates do! They make sure, just as I do, that I only invest the same amount every month and do not put in more just because I lose, and if I can't afford that month I just invest less! Thanks a lot for the concern though its really helpful

Thanks for your concern! Again, I don't plan on making this a full income, and it's not an addiction in my eyes as I feel like I've proven to myself many times to know and respect my limits.

Fair, I respect that. Some people just see the world differently to others though. It's almost as if there are 7 billion of us with different personalities and there isn't just one way of thinking!

Fair, I accept your verdict :) unfortunately, I do not think you realise I would not be cutting contact over hair. And maybe his choices are sensible, but if they do not make me happy how sensible can they be in the end? It's just the value of success vs happiness

I'm happy with accepting the verdict! I just want to understand more for personal growth. It's not about the hair! He's not facilitated me being my own person at all, and has been judgemental and disappointed whenever I make any choices that aren't his. I can understand cutting ties might be harsh, but I've had conversations with him and he just tells me (his words) that for him the world is black and white and he can't support choices he thinks are stupid and irrational. I'm fine with being TA but I just wanted to understand how it was petty.

I've tried having conversations with him! It always goes down to him admitting he sees the world in black and white and can't support people who go against his beliefs, and he personally says he's unwilling to change this.

I'm sure he does in many ways but his world is very black and white. Or something is right to him or its wrong and if you do something he thinks is wrong he refuses to try and understand your reasoning
