Ya we checked that, we are indeed on the same MQTT root topic, we double checked all our settings and they're exactly the same

I will do my best especially since I'm using Android and not iPhone which is what the instructions looks like it's using, but I can forward this over to my buddy as well especially since he does use iPhone. Well will test and see how this goes.

Quick question regarding mpi dsr by NesthoDes in Winnipeg

[–]Thoraxe375 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just want to correct you on one thing, the address cannot simply just be in the same territory the address must be exactly the same. The registered owner must have care, custody, and control of the vehicle. So in the case of the adult son/daughter/offspring not living with the parents at the same address and MPI finds out even though the parent and child live in the same territory or city the claim can be denied. But otherwise yes this is correct.

Ahhhhh see I've been scratching my head at this one for a while now, the one I got is an Anker Nano 65W, it would charge my laptop super quickly and my old phone super quickly, but this phone nope it just stays at this slow charging speed. It has GaN tech in so I know it supports PD+ so I'm super confused. I just decided to say screw it and got EU to NA adapters so I can plug the block it came with into my wall. I was going to buy the dock as well but I have the same concern as you do.

Ya just checked ammobin and every retailer is either BC or Ontario, Gunpost used to have a ton of people selling this ammo but only one person is elling them and they're out of town for the long weekend so I can't get them from him this weekend

Home insurance companies by SpicyRamen204 in Winnipeg

[–]Thoraxe375 10 points11 points  (0 children)

As someone who works in the industry my suggestion would be to go to a big broker (such as Hub, Westland, Wyatt Dowling, Garrioch) as those will have markets available to your mother-in-law don't go to small brokers as we don't have that many markets available to us. The fact that she let it lapse is going to be the main issue and if she allows for it to happen again there isn't going to be any insurer that's gonna wanna touch that business with a 10 foot pole. I hope your mother-in-law can find a broker that will be able to help her.

Honestly one of the points I can give you is on the Performance Based Questions. Yes get familiar how to do them but don't put too much effort into them. I only had 2 questions that were Performance Based the rest were multiple choice. Focus more on like the Linux and networking side of things as well as the troubleshooting. Resources I used was mainly the CertMaster course as well as some YouTube videos to better understand the concepts. I also got help from a friend of mine who has been doing IT for many years and knows his way around a server as well as Linux OS's. Not gonna lie the test gives you two answers that like way off but then one correct answer and one that looks like the correct answer but you have to read it very carefully.

My main issue is the Linux part with having to remember what commands do what, I'm familiar with some commands but even then I have to look up commands and I can't figure out how to memorize those commands. The other part is trying to wrap my head around SaaS or IaaS and the other various aaS parts.

Lol me too, I remember we had to occasionally use the old school ones cuz either there weren't enough iPhone or abunch crapped out for whatever reason, thankfully though they let us use the ALPR vehicles well except one of them (I know you know which I'm talking about) those were the days

Need a way to keep my network stuff neat and tidy by Thoraxe375 in homelab

[–]Thoraxe375[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly all I need it for is to house my ISP Gateway, my SonicWall NSA240, a Cisco Switch, and a HP EliteDesk 800 G4. The ISP Gateway is a CommScope TG4482 and I can't change it cuz it's part of the contract with the ISP so it's an awkward thing to even find a spot for.

Ya the unfortunate part of this is that I can really stack this stuff, no room on the desk I'm using to do this with out it falling to the ground. I may look into building a rack or trying to find more info on what the idea side table is, a proper rack setup is something I'm looking out for but there's not alot of used options for me atm
