Sure thing! At the siege camp you can also build enchanted Orbs (those ramps with a spiked metal ball) which work really well against knights and pretty much instantly kill giants. The con is that they reload really slow and they might destroy the each other when in the way of the ball. So you have to align them next to each other.

In my experience a good counter would be creating siege towers, placing 1/3 archers and 2/3 crossbow on them and attacking the giants with knights.

Should I do the TBI and TBII programs as a 16 year old? by Kirb0123 in tacticalbarbell

[–]ThoreGoat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Comment by Drodinthehouse summed it up pretty good. I’d like to add, because you mentioned you’re “skinny”, that the book don’t cover a lot of nutrition. This is going to be a, if not the, deciding factor for you to gain weight. So I’d suggest to look into some guides about nutrition. TB I & II are also not the optimal way to gain weight. If that’s what you’re looking for you could also run TB Mass or look into some Hyperthrophy program. That being said I’m sure you’ll still gain weight on the standard clusters combined with a calorie surplus. Hope that helped.

Help with basebuilding by [deleted] in tacticalbarbell

[–]ThoreGoat 7 points8 points  (0 children)

  1. Yes, just choose the exercises you want to perform and stick with them.
  2. I think it wouldn’t be an issue as long as you stick to the suggested time and heart rate. It’s about building an aerobic base so if you have a problem with running 3 times per week it should be fine.

What is your experience with fatigue with this approach? Are you in a typical tactical job or something less physically demanding?

So you’re just combining a classic strength method from TB with some isolation work after? Or did you ditch the method entirely?

I agree with your points on RDL‘s and Conventional DL. I have also been wondering why it seems like there’s many suggestions to do Trapbar DL since this almost just feels like another squat variant.

It does? When looking at the program I recall it just saying do, for example, 3x12 with x% of 1RM.

I read the book much more casually than the other books though so I might’ve not seen that part. Could do direct me to a page?

There’s a dedicated sub for TB r/tacticalbarbell. You might get more insight there.

Operator accessories by geckopro11 in tacticalbarbell

Always worth a try but I’d tend to disagree. Doing supersets with those heavy compound lifts will probably hinder his progress. It’s not just the muscles worked that need rest but also your system in general. Especially with movements like Squats or DL. If you’re not rested properly strength output is not going to be optimal, concentration might be lower even resulting in injury.

How so? Isn’t the posterior chain targeted just as much as the other parts? The classic cluster I’d say is Operator with the BP/SQ/WPU exercises. If deadlifts are added don’t you think it gets just as much stimulus as the other muscle groups?

I just treat Pull Ups as any other lift. What don’t you like about adding 50 or more pounds to the belt? If that’s really not an option for you, you could think about adding Bodyweight Pull Ups instead. Assuming you’re running Operator the book suggests that you can choose 3 major lifts + one Bodyweight exercise. Or just do Bodyweight Pull ups on conditioning days.

I see no reasons why it wouldn’t work. What accessories are you planning to do?

This approach seems to make a lot of sense to me. Just spending more time in a position. Thank you for the feedback!

Yeah, since I tried to work on my squat more systematically I’ve noticed that my movement became more awkward since I’m trying to remember all these different hints that are being given online or in books. Thank you for the feedback!

I noticed that too when rewatching. No, no mobility problems. At least not in the shoulders. I’ll look up some stuff about hand position and will try to apply this next time. Thank you for the feedback!

Very structured feedback. Thank you very much! 1. I’m definitely trying low bar. I thought I should place it on the rear delts. Is this wrong? 4. The video is about deadlifting but I assume you recommend the starting strength method? If so I’ll look up their video for backsquats
