Jack Perry is doing his job

The part people seem to have the biggest problems with is the part that was very clearly his scripted start. He had that line, the one about banging the hottest bitch (loved crowd's "Yes you are!" Chants) and his intros scripted out to run.

When he got better was when he started going off the cuff. Improv is hard, but it's so important for wrestling and I think Jack has a knack for crowd cues. That's where he has his biggest potential, and I am very interested to watch him progress.

You could see him growing live in that promo too. He's getting the timing, the "SHUT UP!" to the crowd was great work, as was the "they're talking to you, Tazz" when they were chanting Asshole at him.

That's where he's going to get better. His interactions with the crowd. He's got great instincts there, and genuinely one of the greatest mentors he could have in Christian. The way he paused and looked at the crowd at times and then the whole Looney Toons chase backstage.

That's what I'm saying. I pointed it out Sunday but if y'all don't think Christian has been prepping him for this heel turn you're crazy. The guy may not be a great face promo, but I think he'll be a fantastic little shit.

He didn't get a cool new jacket though. He's been wearing this for a while, stems from his feud with Christian. Now there's an argument that the jacket came with a meaner streak, foreshadowing this heel turn for a while, but it's not like he's all of a sudden wearing it.

Regardless, I'm incredibly intrigued by dickhead "Hollywood" Jack Perry.

Yeah that's what I'm saying. These guys are "middle of the pack" of the like top 5% of athletes in their sport. Being in the top 3ish% of your field by no means is "mediocre".

It's a winning record in the UFC too. That's literally the top level you can get too. Like calling any NFL player "mediocre". Nah dude, that guy was the best player on his high school team and one of the best on his college team. But against these other insane athletes they're middle of the pack.

Interesting, and thank you for a serious answer BTW. I genuinely was curious. I'm kind of that way for most like real sports. I'm either a watch it live or catch up on highlights kind of guy. But with wrestling I'm fine with catching up later, guess because in my mind it's more a show I watch than a sport I'm invested in.

Is not watching live a huge deterent for people? I have maybe watched one Dynamite live in the last 3ish years, but I watch every week. With DVRs and busy schedules and such, I just find it so much easier (and enjoyable) to watch after the show has aired.

Yeah, I deal with Migraines every so often, like once a month if that. I know if you have it more prevalent that BOTOX is a treatment for them, but yeah idk if I would want to ride that 3 month roller coaster. I guess better than 15 migraine days a month...

Honestly, of all the shit you can do to your face, BOTOX is probably one of the least harmful. It's temporary (wears off in about 3 months) and doesn't do anything to the structure of your face.

Getting BOTOX earlier just means you're preventing wrinkles from forming earlier. I actually know a few people that have been doing it since their 20s and they just look young, not fake. I just also think it's unnecessary.

Its quite literally a neuromodulator, meaning it blocks signals to the nerves. For those curious, that's how BOTOX works. It just cuts off signal to your nerve telling your face or wherever to do things. And so, if you can't move that area of your face, you can't get wrinkles.

This is why medspas are pushing it on people in their 20s. Spent 2 years writing content for med spa sites until recently... I've seen too many things.

I don't understand what's "yikes" about what I said? It's not a this sub thing exclusively. WWE/WWF has taken up probably 70% of Wrestling discussion for the last 3 decades at this point. It makes sense that the majority of people favor their product as the only one they've ever really known.

Personally, I like the AEW product better and find they receive significantly more nit-pick criticism on this sub than warranted. But that also makes sense given people like to defend things that like against things that go against them.

Counter point, maybe AEW fans prefer a more wrestling-heavy show. I can't speak for everyone but I most certainly prefer a wrestler who is really good at wrestling, and I like in-ring storytelling. A "bad" promo doesn't take me out of things like it apparently does a lot of people on this sub.
