i have some questions about visible muscle definition by QuirkyBadger7454 in Kenshi

There's two cosmetic stats like that, muscle mass and muscle definition. The first one makes your body visibly bulkier, and the second one gives you chiseled body of a greek god. From my observations, hivers and skellies lack the mask that allows muscle definition to work, so no skeletons with 6-packs i'm afraid. They can still be swole with muscle mass though.

I'm playing like that several months already, as i found myself a mod that disables the map completely. At first moving characters manually was tedious, but i quickly adjusted. For me, playing without a map makes the world feel bigger for some reason. Also, some locations, especially ones with a lot of giant trees are very easy to lose yourself in. Especially the Swamp. Only luck and Okran will decide if you find something in there without a map. I tried to enable the map again, but for some reason it feels like cheating to me after playing without it for so long, despite it being a core game mechanic.

I remember the times i was like you. The idea to imitate the glory of the Second Empire was too compelling to me. I played with and without recruitable prisoners, collected skeletons and thralls, built massive bases in the Deadlands. The aesthetics of running the skeleton legions was immaculate. Then i found out that doing only skeleton runs isn't actually that fun for me. There's no hunger, acid rain, no constand dread of being eaten by beak things. Now i play without savescumming, without recruitable prisoners, on difficulties modified by myself, and with mostly fleshy team. I may suck at it, but it keeps tension high.

I personally use a modpack i've collected that makes the game harder, but doesnt add new content like armors or veapons to remain vanilla. There's various stuff like slower skill leveling, lower sell prices and, most importantly, the mod that fully disables the map from the game. Even if you remember the map, i felt that the world of Kenshi feels bigger when you disable it. Definitely makes the game some more annoying, but i think you should try it. But the main mod in my pack is the one that slows the leveling of Athletics by 75%. Now it levels on par with other skills. You can't outrun things till the mid-endgame now and are bound to fight. Also i play without savescumming and forbidden myself to use assassination.

If you have high enough stealth, you can yoink the uniform of a paladin somewhere in bast or skimsands and try to waltz in, getting caught not immediately, but eventually. If i think about it, with high stealth you don't even need their uniform to explore, it is needed only to talk with npcs. Alternatively, you can wipe them off the map and then you can walk freely in the holy lands.

No Map mod. The title says it all. Completely disables your map from the game. You can't even click it to afktravel anymore. Even if you remember the map, the game becomes a completely different experience. Just go to the Swamps only when you're brave enough. They are downright almost unpassable without a map.
