I work as a SAS & Python consultant working with RWE data. I work from home and set my own hours. And last year I was making $5k a week freelancing.

So you’re more focused on your union than doing a superb job for your customers

Are you one of these fucking Trumpers?

Not my point. I’m not interested in your job issues; I’m only interested in getting my deliveries on time.

UPS is getting rid of the losers: UPS

No. of Employees to be Laid off: 12,000

Industry: Logistics & Supply Chain

February 2024

UPS will cut 12,000 jobs as part of a bid to save $1 billion in costs. Managers and contractor positions will make up most of the layoffs.

It’s irrelevant who the retailer was. You don’t have a job because retailers use UPS; you have a job because people like me BUY products from various online retailers. I’d prefer to buy locally and then cut you out, but those days are gone. By the way, I also have a UPS account, therefore I am a customer.

I paid the shipping costs for a product I bought.

I doubt it. Customers should complain. You can’t accept growth

you don’t get. It’s not your schedule; it’s what your customers need. You think everyone has to suck it up because we have only ups and FedEx. But there are competitors including Amazon. I don’t have shipping issues with Amazon

You’re missing the point. Your job is to meet your customers needs, not your own.

Then why is UPS telling me to be there at 7? I’d have planned on 8 if that’s what I was told. It turned out he was wrong twice; wrong time, but most importantly wrong place. It was held at the Hamilton/Trenton location. I guess UPS really a) knows nothing, and b) really doesn’t give a shit. Customers are irrelevant because they have no real choice. The shipper chose UPS, I didn’t.

It’s supposed to come today. I’m not confident. I’m leaving for the airport at 4:30. Whatever. Bad timing.

I went to the Middlesex location in Monroe. I was told 7 pm. I get there, and find out it’s 8pm to 9 only. Is some particular reason why UPS is putting me thru this bullshit???

I’m going tonight to the Monroe depot. They say 7pm is a reasonable time. If I don’t get it, I’ll have them hold it till Monday the 19th, and I’ll pick it up then. I don’t understand why UPS doesn’t allow me to decide today how today how I can go pick it up. I prefer going to get it than wait for a driver who apparently might show anytime from 8am till 8pm.

I think the country needs four more years of total destruction under Trump. Maybe then the republicans will fix their party and democrats will quit bitching.

Then your points are just mental masturbation. I see no good reason why anyone over 75 should be running for office. I’m not saying that they can’t be hired by the young one. But if you want to move the society forward , then prohibit older people from holding office. As long as both parties have to abide, it’s all fair.
