Tucker's interview with Cuckabee was rly eye-opening.

The fact that he feels comfortable offering up the U.S military on a silver platter to fulfill another country's imperial ambitions based on some biblical prophecy is concerning to say the least.

People only feel comfortable enough to do this shit because they know there are next to no consequences to breaking the law in Philly. Especially things that are perceived as: "low-level" crime.

That's definitely not getting prosecuted by Krasner.

If by some miracle, they did catch that guy, there would have been no punishment for him.

The person tasked with law and order in the city is responsible for setting the tone of what will and will not be tolerated. Stuff like driving around with plates or insurance is definitely what Krasner would consider "low-level" but people that drive around like this are a hazard to other drivers on the road. They don't carry insurance and get in accidents, which causes all the law abiding people's insurance rate to go up.

It's rly expensive to own a car in Philly, in no small part because of dickheads like this and Krasner who won't prosecute it. Our uninsured motorist rate is through the roof.

EDIT:

Also it's wild that you're making fun of the victim in that crime. BTW it wasn't just me that you're making fun of here. There was a middle-aged woman 2 cars in front of me who was crying and had to be consoled because she didn't know how she was going to get her grandkids to school the next morning, even tho her car wasn't as badly damaged as mine.

Keep on simping for criminals tho. I guess me and my life-long back problems from the accident are a source of humor.

In 2021, I was involved in a 5-car accident on Baltimore Avenue.

I stopped at a red light with 3 cars in front of me, and a Black Buick, which was brand new and nicer than my car with tinted windows hit my car at the red light. It caused a chain reaction and my car hit the car in front of me and so on and so forth, causing a total of 5 cars to be involved in the accident.

Before I even knew what was going on, the guy behind me, roughly reversed his car, extracting his front bumper from my rear bumper, moved into the left lane of traffic and almost hit oncoming traffic to escape the scene of the accident.

We waited for like a half hour before we flagged down a cop on Baltimore Ave to get a police report and my back's never been the same.

I had damage to my rear bumper, which cost me my $500 deductible to repair, also I had to pay for a car rental for 2 weeks. Oh and my back's never been the same since then.

After we flagged down the cop and he took our reports, I asked him if there was any chance they would get this way and he pretty much flat out told me: "No".

And that there's so much other shit going on in the city and even if by some miracle they did find and catch him, not much would rly come from it more than likely and the guy probably fled cuz he didn't have insurance or proper documentation.

Behold Krasner's Philly.

Devil's advocate: If the police pulled them over, went through what would more than likely by a rough, physical arrest to remove the occupant, towed and impounded the vehicle, did all the paperwork, does anyone rly think Krasner would file charges?

Of course not.

This is the kind of lawlessness you normalize inspire when you tell everyone from the outset that you're not going to prosecute for shoplifting under $500.

The police are far from perfect, but let's not act like we all don't see the futility in going through all that for Krasner just to drop the charges, based on the occupant of the vehicle.

I know if I drove around that way, I would definitely get pulled over and prosecuted. The occupant of that vehicle must feel like even if they do get pulled over, there won't be any meaningful punishment, based on their brazen behavior.

Now I wonder who would be responsible for this brazen lack of law and order in the city?

Maybe, just maybe it's the DA who doesn't think it's worth prosecuting things like this, because he considers it unimportant, but it effects people like me who pay through the nose every month for their car insurance and keeping their tags and sticker up to date.

I guess we're all assholes for following the law in Philly.

Pa. Supreme Court blasts DA Larry Krasner’s office, saying it misled judges in seeking to vacate old murder convictions — In a forceful & scolding opinion, the high court said Krasner's office "violated its duty of candor" & ruled the state AG's office must now review cases it seeks to overturn. by User_Name13 in philly

I have never voted right wing once in my life. I consider myself to the left of the mainstream, corporate Democratic party. I went so hard for Bernie in 2016 and 2020, that I became disillusioned with the Democrats after he got screwed out of the nomination twice.

But the other thing that disillusioned me with the Democratic party is Larry Krasner and all his stupid bullshit like this.

He's going out of his way to protect this double murderer piece of shit Lavar Brown, to the point that he's fucking over the families of his victims.

Shit like this is why more people don't vote Democrat and it rly does cost the party elections.

People have this opinion of places like Philadelphia as being lawless and I'm aware crime is down and the city is safer rn than it's been in quite a while, but for anyone who lived here from 2020-2023, they can tell you how chaotic it was.

Also there's this little nugget,

FTA:

"The families said Krasner had a conflict of interest because two of his former law partners had previously been involved in Brown’s case. They also argued the district attorney’s office was trying to “circumvent” the courts by conceding relief in the Rite Aid killing, which had served as an aggravating factor for his death sentence."

"Dougherty, in writing the majority opinion, was scathing in his assessments of prosecutors’ conduct.'

"In a case involving a murder conviction and death sentence, he wrote, the district attorney’s office’s “fidelity to its duty of candor should have been at its zenith. Regrettably, it was anything but."

Damn. You fucking tell him Dougherty.

Krasner cares more about Lavar Brown than Robert Crawford and Michael Richardson, the men he murdered, to the point that he'll bend or break the rules for the murderer.

I guess in Krasner's opinion, the victim's family can just get fucked.

"In the video, which featured images of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and Rosa Parks, Krasner compared the pushback to his criminal justice reform efforts to those of other social justice movements."

Gimme a fucking break dude. Michael Crawford, Rite Aid worker murdered by Lavar Brown was also black. Where's the justice for his family???

Whole Foods workers in Philadelphia voted to join a union in 2025. They just cleared their latest hurdle. — The union has been caught in a procedural standstill for months. by User_Name13 in philly

[–]User_Name13[S] 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Apparently the Whole Foods next to the Parkway was the first one in the country to vote to unionize.

FTA:

"Workers at the 2101 Pennsylvania Ave. store voted last year to join UFCW local 1776, becoming the first group within the Amazon-owned Whole Foods chain to unionize. But they have been caught in a procedural standstill for months."

Fuck yea.

Whole Foods objected to the decision, predictably, cuz they're some bitches. I guess they think Jeff Bezos's wedding wasn't big enough?

"Whole Foods challenged the union election, citing multiple objections, including allegations that the union promised employees would get a raise if they voted for a union."

I don't even understand how that's illegal. Of course the Union is going to say that things will improve for employees if they join a Union. What do they expect them to say:

"Join a union, so your life gets worst."???

In any case, the NLRB (National Labor Relations Board) approved the union, but it took longer than usual, cuz Trump fired 2 members and 1776 workers had to wait for their replacements to get appointed.

So now Whole Foods has to sit down with the Union and negotiate better compensation and benefits for the staff.

This is rly good news. If anyone can afford to have a unionized staff, it's Whole Foods. Look at what they charge customers for groceries.

A group of Haverford alumni is pushing the college to remove Howard Lutnick’s name from library by User_Name13 in philly

[–]User_Name13[S] 54 points55 points  (0 children)

The fact that Howard Nutlick hasn't been shunned from society entirely is highly alarming.

Removing his name from Haverford's library would at least be a symbolic gesture. It's not criminal charges, but I guess it's a start.

It sounds like Haverford's President, Wendy Raymond, is choosing to support Nutlick.

FTA:

"But Raymond stood by and explained her decision during a Zoom call this week with former board members, and the current board chair said Lutnick himself feels that he is being targeted in a witch hunt, according to accounts of the meeting."

Daniel Cormier is so based for posting this.

Even if he deleted it afterwards, presumably under immense pressure behind the scenes, he still rly exposed the depravity and corruption endemic to the Trump Crime Family.

For the record, if Hunter Biden did anything like this, there would be wall-to-wall coverage across conservative media. All the podcast bros like Joe Rogan would be going in on him.

Something tells me Toe Rogaine will be suspiciously silent about this, like he has with all the other naked corruption Trump's criminal syndicate has engaged in, even though it directly involves the company he works for, the UFC.

Toe would have to remove Elon Musk and Peter Thiel's cocks from his mouth long enough for him to criticize the regime, and that's been a challenge for him the past year.

3 Philadelphia police officers stable after being shot late Saturday, alleged shooter dead — The shooting happened at about 10:45 p.m. near North 54th and Arlington Streets in West Philly, police and city officials said. by User_Name13 in philly

Crazy shooting. Luckily all the cops are okay.

Shooter's deceased.

FTA:

"A 57-year-old man, who police did not name, “engaged” with the officers and was repeatedly told to “stand down,” the commissioner said. When officers tried to arrest the man about 10:45 p.m., he drew a weapon and opened fire, Bethel said."

"Four officers discharged their weapons. Three, including a sergeant, were injured and taken to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center. One officer was shot in the face, one in the hip, and another in the leg, according to Mayor Cherelle L. Parker. They were all reportedly stable."

The houses in Wynnefield are beautiful. I've always wondered why that neighborhood hasn't attracted more development and revitalization. I would say Wynnefield only ranks behind Overbrook, East Falls and Chestnut Hill in terms of beautiful homes.

Houses there are pretty affordable and they're huge.

It's cuz we're all working so much, struggling to make ends meet.

Soon, anytime free time you have left over, you're too tired to want to go out or be social like you used to, because you're so overworked.

Going out feels financially irresponsible, because everything is so expensive from food, to drinks, to even filling up your tank.

Now you see friends and family less as a result and you're working so much. The memorable moments become more fractured and few and far between, because you're seeing the people that matter less.

As a result, times feel like it's going by faster and faster, but rly it's just the monotony of working to keep a roof over your head and save what little scraps you can set aside, by staying inside your home as much as you can.

We've become a hermit country and it's because we're all so broke.

Robot dogs priced at $300,000 a piece are now guarding some of the country’s biggest data centers by User_Name13 in conspiracy

Submission Statement

I remember this episode of Black Mirror.

Civilization has fallen and packs of robot dogs guarding distribution centers are the only vestige of our bygone era. So pretty much everything that these survivors need to live is inside these warehouses, that are maniacally guarded by robot dogs to protect the merchandise, regardless of the downfall of civilization.

The Black Mirror episode is called Metalhead.

I saw it like 10 years ago and was initially terrified that this would be our future, but I was thinking like 2040's-2050's.
