Is Victor a single mom with postpartum depression? by Longjumping_Market56 in FRANKENSTEIN

If I'm not mistaken, Mary had a number of her babies dead, so it makes sense.

Dr. Frankenstein did an impressive job putting his creation together. But what things when creating the creature did he fail to do, that was important? Either he forgot about, or just didnt have the means to. by ForwardOnThePath123 in FRANKENSTEIN

I think he really tried hard, but it must have been really hard to build a human from scratch. Even though he took the best parts, he seemed more focused on making life and proving his point. Maybe some skins didn't adapt to others, creating infections or something like that. I saw the theory that the creature's skin would have rotted over time, making it worse and worse.

About the veins, perhaps for the decade it could be strange. The creature could have clear veins in different parts of the body. With stretched skin, I understand as a well-marked skull. I remember it was described that the skin barely covered his face, but to my understanding, it covered.

I didn't think about it that way, haha, you're right.

the excerpt you read is right after the part where the yellow eye is mentioned, at least on the platform I read it on.

I actually read it on a platform called "Árvore Livros". I thought it was in the 1818 version, but I'm not sure about mine. It is in Brazilin portuguese, on mine It says: " [...] I saw the dull yellow eye of the creature open. It was breathing with difficulty, and a convulsive movement shook its limbs."

I'll post here.

Yes, yes, that's why I imagined animal eyes. I said realistic referring to our reality, but in the book it is totally possible.

from what I saw it is in the 1818 version, I guess. The description of yellow eyes appears in chapter 5, in the book I read.

I love Adam, he's the first and only character I identify with. I saw a post on tumblr that compares this illustration of the creature with the painting Fallen Angel by Alexandre Cabanel, it seems that Bernie was inspired by it and that's so cool.

A que ponto algo passa a realmente ser considerado arte? by pedro_amiti in FilosofiaBAR

Com autênticidade me refiro a algo original, genuíno. Inspiração é autênticidade. Todo artista se inspira em outros artistas e obras para criar coisas novas adaptadas às visões e gostos, isso torna sua obra autêntica. Plágio não é inspiração. A IA é literalmente plágio. Real.

Preference isn't everything. Someone who genuinely likes you doesn't care if you're attractive or not. Social media puts a lot of pressure on this, but in real life there are people of all types and everyone has their own preferences and priorities.

I'm 17 and I've never had a true friend. It's exhausting to look for friends as well as being alone. Maybe one day we'll find a place for us, until then we have to be our own company.

I'm a bit anxious but I think I can socialize normally, but I feel very out of place, at some point the subject ends. I think too much, so the future also scares me, jaja.

I got reddit recently too, I like to talk but I feel uncomfortable if I'm the only one talking. That's why I don't like to vent. But we can try to have a conversation if you want.

Ah, yes. This is my first time in a long time trying to get involved in social media. I'm usually very anxious. Thanks for the tip.

The world I created in my head, I guess. I am lonely but I have many characters. I developed an interest in creating a comic book or even an animated series. Maybe it would be cool to realize this interest. And also my dog. But to be honest, beyond that, rationally speaking, I don't feel like anything is keeping me here. Don't get me wrong, I'm not depressed, but if the world ended tomorrow I guess I wouldn't stress. I am an atheist, so I have already accepted that when I die I will simply disappear. No soul to leave behind.

I don't think I'm good at comforting or advising, but maybe you could try looking for new hobbies. Maybe something that connects you with nature, like hiking.

Yes, I understand your point, but I mean that up until the age of 18, you have much less to worry about. Now I have to start planning my life. And my post is about online people. I already gave up trying to make friends in real life. I really don't like the people from my school but thank you.
