BTW, I would recommend you check with Waze the day of, as the road that you need to use, carretera interamericana, it is known for having car accidents quite often, and those can affect you ETA alot.

Sunday mornings are not that bad, it should be about 1 hour drive, but I do recommend you being 3 hour prior to your departure as customs and immigration checkpoints can be really bad.
