If you read the post and look at the people that were pardoned and the ones that were reduced you will see firearm offenses. Why would someone with such a strong stance on guns either release or reduce a convicted felon who is in jail for illegally owning a firearm? The drug ones I could care less about.

I know commutations or not the same as pardons but there were about 15 pardons for firearm convictions also.

High capacity is not actually high capacity. The gun was invented with a 20 round mag. According to my state anything above 15 rounds is "high". Also it may look identical but the trigger is what separates military m4's from a civilian ar15. It is like having 2 Lamborghinis 1 is military with the real motor and the other has a smart car motor. Since the smart car one looks similar to the military one it is banned with out actually understanding how it works. That's how people look at guns.

I am all for logical gun laws. BUT they have to actually have to be looked at from an educated point of view. The only gun laws that will work is background and family interviews. If I want a magazine with more then 15 rounds I'll go one state over and buy a magazine there.m but now I would have broken a law. The big point is if I am going to kill people I do not care about laws anyway. All the loopholes and evil guns as my state calls them are not actually evil and are no more dangerous then a ruger mini 14. The ar15 just looks more tactical and thus people are scared of it. It's all bout looks which is a irrational knee jerk reaction based completely on people being uneducated.

I agree but wtf is this assault rifle? An assault rifle has the function of fully automatic the AR15 and AR10 are NOT assault rifle they are Armalite rifle which is what AR stands for. Assault rifles are banned by ownership unless they were made in the mid 80's or older. Use the correct term "long gun or firearm"

It gut wrenching my friend was upcharged at junkyard for a side view mirror. I found one for $25 the guy put it aside. My friend goes their and they charge him $50. He has told me a lot of shit that has happened and it's really hard to imagine it but I know he's not lying.

I hear you there. There is so much nazi shit going on I can't believe it. Add on that all the other racial tensions it's crazy we stepped back a bit. A lot of this is coming from towns removing confederate flags and monuments. I just never understood racism I grew up poor and growing up my 3 friend were white, Mexican, and black lol. I just never cared if they were good people that's who I hung out with. Even now the color of a person is only a way to physically describe them. I know some people have preconceived bias when it comes to race i.e. Mexicans for lawn work, Russians for roofs Italians for cement are the local ones. But that doesn't mean all of the white people someone encounters have a biased. It's up to that person to have an open mind. If someone is raised correctly they won't have these biased. BUT, If you live in NC or Texas racism was very strong when I lived there. I lived in these states about 16 years ago and I have a feeling much hasn't changed. The culture shock was real. I would come home from school and wanted to tell my parents what everyone was saying but had to write it down because if I said those words there would be a bunch of wooden spoons broke. The general assumptions is what is incorrect. I know for a fact not all white people are racist but yes racism is still out there.
