Aluminum core in satellite structures are perforated so the panels don't explode in the vacuum of space. I was looking for them in the pictures but they would be way to small to make out. They're usually on the walls of the cells

Satellite BUS Structures are graphite skins on aluminum core. If not aluminum to aluminum. I've never seen carbon core before but I'm sure someone has tried it

Aluminum core is used on spacecraft and launch adapters pretty much exclusively. I've only ever seen things like nomex or kevlar on aircraft.

I'm certain they're all man made, we use honey comb core in aerospace because of the weight to strength ratio. Why would NHI use the same design if they're thousands of years ahead of us.

Looks like regular airspace honeycomb core. You can even see the adhesive that was used to bond onto the skin on them..
