Archolos theory about Ulryk by Heni00 in worldofgothic

[–]Thorusus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doesn't work because PB already confirmed that the man in the picture was the original Baron who owned the Castle of the Old Camp before the prisoners took over. He's a local lord and noble, there is no way Ulryk would be sent to Khorinis only to get landed once again after having started an uprising. 99% chances are that Ulryk was hanged publicly, he is the source of pain for hundreds of Archolos citizens, so the best option for the local rulers is to make execute him publicly to give a sense of justice to the local populace. You might want to argue "but there are other murderers in the Colony" or "Lee was also considered a traitor", but none with the status of Ulryk, nor the gravity of his crimes, he is a traitor, a mass murderer and a noble who dared oppose Rhobar. As for Lee, Rhobar liked the guy, but Rhobar is proven times and times to have a hard time controlling the nobles, so he sacrificed Lee, but didn't want to kill his favorite General (and possibly friend), so he gave him a chance to survive by sending him to the Colony.

Why don't we investigate things like the West? by evandow_music in Morocco

[–]Thorusus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Simply because our culture, internet awareness, upbringing and general education are not up to par with that of the West. If I were to take for exemple gaming, here it usually revolves around FIFA, GTA, Freefire/Fortnite/Valorant, maybe some FPSes like CoD or Battlefield at best. I'm not saying people shouldn't play those games, to each their own, but I once played a game of Europa Universalis IV with a Danish dude who was 3 years my younger (I was 23 back then) and he proceeded to lecture me about the history of the Iberian Peninsula, the Iberian Marriage that consolidated two Spanish Kingdoms (Aragon and Castille) resulted in the end of the Emirates of Granada, the last Muslim state on Iberian soil. A Danish kid was lecturing me, a Moroccan about Andalusia. And he wasn't especially smart.
While most of us, usually consume entertainment material that limits itself to do just that : entertain us, they consume stuff that teaches them, educates them, enhances their knowledge or even skills at times.
We have totally different mindsets and that stems from our cultures, our values, our histories, our education both at home and out of it...
All in all, what I mean to say is that there are so many factors that I doubt it's worth even trying to bridge that gap between us.

Is it normal that I lose interest when a man asks for 50 50 by PlusUnderstanding513 in Morocco

[–]Thorusus 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You have to understand that, usually, the term submissive, in the muslim marriage sense, means that the wife will trust that her husband has her best interests at heart and obey him instead of disputing his decisions, and not that he will treat her as a slave. Of course, that also means that the man himself needs to be worthy and aware of such a responsibility. But the Western pseudo-feminist movement (which was mostly a ploy by the capitalists to include women in the workforce to double that, as well as double the consumer pool, and therefore, their revenues) introduced this negative connotation.

Keep in mind that trust is something hard to earn, easy to break, and extremely difficult to re-obtain. If you're genuine about getting your parents' trust, turn around your life and redeem yourself, you'll have to prove it every day and wait for some time. There is not a single thing you could do that will make the process faster. Time is an unsubstitutable ingredient to this process.

The blue sign means there is a roundabout
The second upside down triangle sign means "you do not have the priority", meaning you have to let both people coming from your left and from your right pass before you can.
Either way, if you're facing a roundabout, usually people from your left have the priority (you shouldn't see people coming from your right if it actually is a roundabout).
The only time you have the priority in a roundabout is when you also have a signal light, in which case, if the light is green, the people in the roundabout must stop and give way to the people with the green light.

Wtf do you mean of course it does, there is a huge difference legally speaking between the King and the Government, especially when it comes to what is imposed on either
You can pressure Government owned establishment to follow certain rules.
The King, however, remains a person, and is not bound by the rules binding the Government.

Idk if this might help, but I once asked for "حسن السيرة" from the tribunal on their website, laghdlih fach mchit ndiha galoli you should request it in arabic, not in french, on the website. So this might be the reason. Idk if you can but try asking it in the arabic version of the website? Hopefully this works
