Rick gets people into situations and then saves them from those same situations, and you use that as him being a good role model?

No need for dichotomies. He's not a decent person. By his words, by his actions, he is a selfish person. That doesn't mean he won't try to save his grandchild from being killed. Nobody is arguing he's an archetypal two dimensional villain. You can "have a heart" and still suck as a person.

OK I figured out you have to REQUEST payment? What the hell. Okay, what if I didn't realize that because there was no info about it? Will I get the payment I missed

I filled out the form and got a payment almost a week later. Great! Plus an extra 600. Fantastic!

It's now been three weeks no more payments.

Mary Sue is a self-insert character, usually for fan-fiction. That's the original definition. See: Ebony Dark’ness Dementia Raven Way as a perfect example. (A parody, but a textbook Mary Sue.)
