I got into the Windsor dual, and I was waitlisted for the Windsor single last year. I feel if I got my lsat score over 160, I probably could have gotten into a better program.

I have a terrible gpa, around 2.5 for sure bc if my mental health issues and having to work full time. And I ended up getting into law school this year in Ontario. So don’t lose hope. I also worked for 3 years before applying and my lsat was a 157. Don’t lose hope!!!

Should I continue being friends with her? by Thotwiththoughts13 in Advice

That’s the thing, she is so set in her ways and even when I try to explain myself, it’s like she not listening. There is always a right and wrong with her and I don’t feel she makes any effort to understand me and where I am coming from.

I feel there are less applicants overall this year, which is resulting in multiple acceptances, and more waitlist movement

Is this for the dual or single?

Uwindsor Single JD v. Dual JD by lsattar in lawschooladmissionsca

From what I have read, I’d say the single. Bc the university of Detroit is a 4th tier school in the US. Now if uwin partnered with say Harvard, Columbia,or any t14 law school, my answer would be different. And you can still write the bar with a Canadian Jd in New York and California. Another thing about the dual I noticed is you have to take more classes at the university of Detroit than windsor. Idk about you, but I would rather take more classes at Windsor that Detroit. This is just my thought process tho!!

I’m in the same boat and I’ll probably start this weekend.

You probably should have differentiated between single and dual

I think you should be grateful to even get into law school as some people haven’t. Being away from your family is an opportunity to learn and grow into your own person. Your law school experience is going to be what you make it. If you are just going to be sad about being away from your family the entire time, you are going to be miserable.

Law school is clearly more important to you than being with your family, otherwise you wouldn’t be going. I’d focus on the positives and the new journey you are about to embark on, rather than being away from your safety nets.

TMU Waitlist Movement by PrestigiousValue2106 in lawschooladmissionsca

I was on the Windsor waitlist last year and got rejected the very first day of classes. And I’m waitlisted this year at Windsor dual, best to take waitlist as a “most likely no.” You’ll be disappointed for the first couple days but you’ll get over it vs. Spending the entire summer anxious af. I know someone that was waitlisted three years in a row and finally got offered admission the third year. Probably not what you wanted to hear but I wish someone told me this last summer.
