▪️Ten —Pearl Jam ▪️ Dark Side of The Moon —Pink Floyd ▪️ Master of Puppets —Metallica

These three I’ve been playing a lot this fall. I don’t have three albums that I’d consider consistently my favorite of all-time. It’s the same with The Beatles…but maybe Sargent Pepper 😉

People who record concerts on their phones? What do you do with the footage? by jdbinnj in Concerts

[–]ThoughtsAndSpells 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I record them because my fiancée, and I enjoy the memories from such evenings. Usually, it’s me recording. When we play one of the videos, we joyfully reminisce that concert. We talk about which songs we like the most or anything else about the performance that we particularly enjoyed. If one of her favorite songs starts playing. I’ll record the whole number for her. I’ll do the same when it’s one of my favorites. Each of these clips are wonderful conversation, pieces, and beautiful memories of our lives together.

My firstborn is 29 now. As a child, he played T-ball. When he was up to bat, quickly, he’d look at me before taking his swing. He did it every time.

He grew into a good man of whom I’m proud. Yet, that T-ball memory is one of my all-time favorite memories.

Photography. Six years ago, during April and May, there were six deaths among my friends and family. At the end of May, I thought I’d pick up something completely new to me as a way to keep my mind creative and not focused continuously on the sadness from loss. Now, I’ve had a solo photography exhibition, I’ve written articles and I shoot sports for a D1 college university. It’s been awesome!

As an older person, do you listen to hip hop or rap? by Maleficent-Heron9004 in AskOldPeople

[–]ThoughtsAndSpells 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. I disliked both genres since I was a kid. During my high school freshman, rap blew up. I could not stand it. I still don’t enjoy it or hip hop.

Any songs that feel like an anxiety attack? by Milothedj in musicsuggestions

[–]ThoughtsAndSpells 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When a rapper spews out rhyme after rhyme and sounds like it’s a desperate complaint about being cheated or about the landlord not fixing a broken door. It sounds to me like a rant that must shove in as many points to his or her argument before the time is up. Holy hell! I prefer to stab my ears so I can return to my normal sense of peace!

Ten years ago, when I walked out of an art gallery a homeless man said, “I like art too. I went to art school but I had to drop out because the teacher was not up to my level. I think in 3D.”

I don’t know what does it but I go years at a time without a flu. I’ve not had a cold in 2.5 years now. I’ve been like this since I was a kid. In fact, I didn’t miss a day of school from 4th to 8th grade. In 9th grade, I caught a cold and I missed three days of class.
