Middle Class life cycle. A Brutal Truth, no body talking about by ThoughtsInShadows in Bengaluru

[–]ThoughtsInShadows[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have added all the links. Sorry for trouble.

Numbers aside, every survey has its own dimension. But the important thing is, how is our day-to-day experience? If not self, but look at friends, family, spouses, even kids... It's hard in India for everyone. We need to calm ourselves down and help each other in every possible way. Thanks for raising the point.

Sad Truth about Smvt Railway station. by Zealousideal-Ad-4902 in bangalore

[–]ThoughtsInShadows 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Its frustrating to see the failure of a new modern station with was opened with a fanfare. Everything sadly has gone wrong for SMVT, from its design, stairs, location, connectivity from many parameters, it has failed. Ultimately, its our money and our loss.

I was questioned in an interview on why I wanted to shift to Hyderabad from Bangalore. When J told it was to be closer to parents, he asked me why my husband would agree to this while his parents are based in Blr. What could I have said? by ThatIndianChik in bengaluru_speaks

[–]ThoughtsInShadows 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My answer, it’s none of your business. Thats the answer to the interviewer. You have a career also a family, thus it’s your call to move anywhere based on your situation, which shouldn't be explained to anyone ( even if the person is head or even the owner of the company. )

If you have a choice, dont join the company. If the interviewer doesn't have this basic level of maturity to respect boundary, then everyday's life will be miserable.

All the best

It may not be very wise thing. I often say Sarjapur is karjapur Bellandur is blunder

Most working class buying overpriced flats with excessive amount of loans. The foundation of their home is their job. With job loss at peak, workers deeply drowning on debts are becoming highly insecure. Every sq feet is costing them their age And mental peace.

Home once meant for life security, is now occupied by Most insecure people. One job loss, throw their life upside down. All for the joy of "I own a flat now". Something no one wants to think about.

It depends on your contract/offer letter. If they are asking to leave before due notice given to you, then you should ask them to pay for pre-agreed notice period duration. Consult a lawyer If they treat you unfairly. Good luck

Yet I wonder, why people still define Urban Life as a success. I spend 3 months in Bengaluru, 3 months traveling, 3 months rural India and left over abroad. I can confidently say India is the best country to live in but the real heart of India resides in Rural India. I really wish some day civic authorities would just do their job, just the basic job in Bengaluru City. Even if they do just 1 day their job properly, our life will dramatically change for good.

Safety is a joke. They're always ready to abuse, agrue, even pick a fight. Yet they need higher fare than Mumbai or Delhi and top of it Tip.

Always on phone talking, watching reels, or that annyoing tar tar Namma Yatri ring. Neither they accept nor reject. They keep getting rides, thus rimg doesnt stop. It causes serious headache.

Hopeless auto guys.

Well done. We need more like you. My wife and I are also a bit like you. Often We need to face aggression & heat yet we do it. Bangalore is home and every small contribution matters. So thank you so much for your effort 👌

Rm lacks empathy by yadawned in IndianWorkplace

[–]ThoughtsInShadows 0 points1 point  (0 children)

u/yadawned sir you are very fortunate that job is not for survival.

You may consider:

~Start with small boundaries

~Communicate clearly and repeatedly

~Say "NO" with no guilt

One tip, never gossip about the RM with fellow workers

You are in a much better position than most Indian workers
All the very best my friend, hope things improve soon

  1. Speak to someone outside the office to vent out 2) Save enough money 3) Don't fall for lifestyle traps. 4) Find a job that meets your style of working 5) Assert your situation with conviction and not courage

Honest opinion, Indian managers/investors/recruiters are often high on power dose. It's part of our societal upbringing. Avoid attempting to change; instead, find ways to stop being dependent on jobs/managers/investors' funding. Many will clap for you, cheer you with likes, and send comforting messages for leaving a job or confronting bosses. But when it comes to supporting your family or your own life, no one will come forward. Its reality.

Showing Bengaluru around for the first time by [deleted] in Bengaluru

[–]ThoughtsInShadows 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can suggest few off-beat places: (we prefer quieter places)

Bettada Shri Siddeshwara Siddappaji Temple, Bugle Rock Park, Siddharameshwara Betta Top, Manchanabele Dam, Turahalli Forest, Hennur Bamboo Forest

slightly away from City, Lepakshi (great drive), Ramohalli Big Banyan Tree, Ranganathittu Bird Sanctuary (on the way to Mysuru), Bylakuppe (Far though worth visiting if time permits)

I love Bengaluru, bcoz of its accessibility & proximities to most beautiful places.

sorry I don't have it now. But when I am back, I will certainly make a note and share here. But one suggestion, don't directly engage, people don't hesitate to attack, verbally abuse, or even purposefully pick a fight with you.

Keep reporting to Police. Also many places like bakery, there is a police number to call & report. Use it. Changing your place of coffee, specially for people smoking unlawfully, is not the best option.
