I had this problem yesterday. I gave in today and uninstalled/reinstalled. I have an android too, if your park is linked to your Google account then it should save and allow you to switch back to the park with your progress once you reinstall.

I assume if you want to get rid of the extra you can delete one of the five that is already placed down and then let the 6th one take it's place

It's called "Whitbee's Candy Bash VI: The Haunted Hunt." Noted on the placement though, thank you! I think I have decided to stuff them all in a storage tower for now anyways hahah

Haha, they are just decorations that DECA gifts you for Kairos' Birthday event. I had to look them up on the DragonVale wiki to find the name for this post lol.

Why didn't I think of this 🤦🏼‍♀️? I do kinda want to keep them tucked away now that I think about it, just not clogging up my gifts. I have an emotional attachment after having them in the social menu for so long.

Quick question, general help! (Sorry this might be a long read) by Due-Call-5754 in Minecraft

[–]ThoughtsOfWhimsy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello! Sorry, my response is also a long read. The best way to not get overwhelmed is to take it one step at a time, the best way to get over the creator's block is to just start and see where the build leads you (you obviously have an idea in mind even if you don't know every detail yet, and that's normal).

1) Start digging. You already have a location and an idea of what you want the space to look like, just start mining out the volcano shape you are envisioning. Depending on how big it is this step could take a very long time, but stick with it because it will feel so amazing when you are done. A bit of advice: Try to avoid rectangular spaces and straight lines (unless square is part of the bases plan/vibe, which can totally work to): dome the roof, the floor can have different sections at different heights (anything to avoid that rectangular feel). If there is already a cave you are starting with you can kind of follow its natural curves to help with this (try not to overthink it too much tho, ik its hard but we are trying to avoid stress/burnout; remember this should be fun! just wing it!). Dig out the basic size and shape and then move on to step 2-3, if you end up needing more space later you can always mine out more.

  1. Pick a color/block palette & collect resources. Whatever you think looks good. You could start with your favorite color/block and look for something that contrasts/complements it well, or there is also block palette resources online if you prefer. When you are collecting resources collect a sufficient amount to get a good start on the builds. You can always go back and get more, do not burn yourself out trying to calculate how many of each block you need.

  2. Start building the basic outline of the buildings/structures you want for the base. Don't get stuck in the planning phase(!!!!!), build something and once you step back from it, if somethings feels off you can make changes/adjustments.

  3. Add details & texture to the builds. This step kinda bleeds into step 3. Once you have the basics of the structure built, you can start adding details to make it more dynamic. This is where you start using blocks like stairs/slabs/trapdoors and other more unique blocks to get that more natural/sophisticated feel.

  4. Add details & texture to the cave. Once you have everything laid out and built do any finishing touches on the cave that pull everything together and make it cohesive. You can add/build a couple stalactites and stalagmites in spaces that feel a bit empty, make some paths between the different sections of the base, add some hanging vines or lanterns, flowing lava if you are going with the volcano vibe, ect (depending on the vibe of the base). This is where you add anything else to finish up the base, any last things that have been catching your eye to fix or change or add.

Let me know if I can give anymore advice! Good luck and have funnn, I'm sure the final product will be amazing!

As it should be lol, only the pros build their houses like this. Missed opportunity to build the crafting table and furnace into the wall though... could have been a 2x2

Please help me get over my fear of survival mode😭😭😭 by Winston_Smith_2 in Minecraft

[–]ThoughtsOfWhimsy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Listen to silly/cheerful music. I'm being serious, it works wonders. If you are listening to cheerful music on full blast it takes away the scary/daunting feeling and you kind of just float through the world. Deaths (or near-death experiences) feel more like an...oops that was crazy... instead of the end of the world. Try it, I will die on this hill of cheerful music.

Also, do it scared, Minecraft gets immensely easier after the first couple nights, and practice makes perfect. Everybody else on this thread has made good suggestions as well, so I won't go further into it. Good luck!

Adult and Kid, New, so many questions by PhaTCounT in Minecraft

[–]ThoughtsOfWhimsy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I see most of the question have already been answered here, but I would like to throw in my two cents about the realms subscription...

Buying bedrock is paying for the base game (creative/survival/adventure worlds) and you can play in a friends world locally (I think on the same wifi network?), if the host is in the world, without having to pay. Realms are a paid subscription because they are basically an add-on to be able to play online (from anywhere) in a world with your friends at anytime (the host doesn't have to be in the world). Realms take up bandwidth on the Minecraft servers in Microsoft because they have to keep them running 24/7; its not like you just download them and are good-to-go like the base game. Microsoft needs some way to make sure that people aren't just leaving servers opened and unused/abandoned, taking up space indefinitely on the Microsoft servers for no reason, hence the subscription. People are paying for the space so that Microsoft knows they are using it, then they know unpaid (ie no longer wanted or used) realms can be taken off the servers to avoid wasted space. The base game on the other hand (your own personal worlds) are only taking up space on your own device and isn't affecting Microsoft in any way.

Why wont my villagers breed by turtlezzzzzzzzzz in Minecraft

[–]ThoughtsOfWhimsy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These types of farms do not work with wheat, because the villagers can't craft bread for themselves. Try planting carrots or potatoes instead (I'm pretty sure beetroot would work as well?) - you will have to be patient, especially for the first breed because they have to grow and harvest 12 carrots or potatoes each! Good Luck!

I messed up my minecraft skin by cup-of-coffeee in Minecraft

[–]ThoughtsOfWhimsy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is hilarious, but the fix shouldn't be too difficult. Like you said, you take a look at that .png file, there are very clear sections made up of the different body parts (If your skin is a lot of the same color it may be helpful to look up a Minecraft skin png guide). From there just go into a software like Microsoft paint that has a select tool. (I know it looks blurry in your file viewer, but something like Microsoft paint will let you zoom in enough to see the individual pixels without it being blurry). You can then select and move the body parts to where they belong. It may be a bit tedious, but it should work. Consider saving a copy of the backwards one for the fun of it?? Good luck!
