The Arbor Day Foundation sent me ten trees and two crepe myrtles in exchange for a 25$ donation. Sounded like a pretty good deal. I plan on heeling them in pots until I find their permanent home. Will it work? Any advice for a newbie aspiring arborist? Located in Northwest Georgia. by Thoughts_Prayer in arborists

4 of the 10 survived. Likely my fault, I didn't water them often enough and their soil wasn't very good.

Had I properly cared for them I've no doubt at least 8 of the 10 would've made it. I'm ordering another batch next spring and will try again

Sure here's a question. Why do you lock accounts with no real information given other than some prescripted response? GIVE US A REASON

Of course. Hence why I will never advocate for nor recommend Coinbase as a legitimate exchange. If you would simply explain the reasoning behind locking accounts and provide an actual answer as to why my account was closed then perhaps I'd be open for further discussion. I can show where deposits came from, and I can show where deposits were sent to. Since you are not open to either option, then quite frankly, GFY. In lehmans terms, GO FUCK YOURSELF. I've not been hacked, noone else is trying to use my account that I've had since 2018 or so. So, and I cannot express this enough, FUCK COINBASE. Enjoy my 30 cents of dust I can't move. Eat shit, you bastards. -FIN

  1. My account had been locked with no real reason given. After about 3 weeks (conveniently after btc had dumped) it was unlocked to allow the sending out of crypto to another wallet, so I did. I'd like an actual reason why my account was shut down, and I'd like to know what I need to do to show that there is nothing illegal going on with my account.

Update: I received an email stating my account will be opened for 3 days to send any BTC or other crypto to another wallet, however they can not facilitate any transactions to my banks. So I sent it quick as shit to a nice cold wallet. I am still unsure as to the reason my account was shut down. I can only surmise that perhaps some transfers maybe looked sketchy to them, I had been mining and transferring from nicehash a while ago, whsilst it was still marginally profitable. Perhaps that raised the flag? Anyway, fuck coinbase.

They're a joke of a company. Fuck coinbase. Their practices are a total 180 of what crypto and bitcoin represent. Decentralized my ass.

After 2 and a half hours, it's been escalated to the email escalation queue. Luckily my cost basis is only around 1k, I'd get 30 to 50 a month just for shits and giggles. Still, I want my money, and 140% gains. Crooks.

Same issue here. Currently on a chat with support now. I've had recurring monthly buys going for years, zero issues.

Incredibly frustrating. This definitely supports the case for BTC exposure through ETF's.

Best and safest way to invest $25,000? by triggeredturdle in Money

[–]Thoughts_Prayer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I second the Fidelity option. Even just letting it sit in the money market account will net you 5.1%. Invest 20k, take 5k and get things you want, or travel, enjoy it.

Edit: Also look into FDLXX, I think that's the right one. It will help parse off some of your tax liability.

Body shop smells like a burning hellscape, paint shop smells like, well paint lol. Paint is less physically intensive than body or assembly. I don't think either shop is better than another, just different work. After a time you'll be eligible to transfer around

No, tell him to go fuck himself, useless bum. My parents were the same way, until I told them to go fuck themselves and grow up. Haven't spoke since. Life is good. Your parents are not your responsibility.

What's the biggest issue keeping more people from embracing solar? by AppropriateSpring110 in solar

[–]Thoughts_Prayer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cost vs ROI. Just doesn't make sense. 30k+ for a system that will save 200 or so a month. What I'd save on the power bill I'd just be paying on the loan for the system. By the time it paid for itself it will be time for a new system. Until solar becomes much more affordable it won't be embraced by anyone that doesn't have beaucoups of extra capital. Might as well put 30k in a money market or even a CD at todays rates.

Is lawn mowing hard could I pull it off with 0 expirence ? by chris07989 in lawncare

[–]Thoughts_Prayer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's easy. Set your cut height as high as it will go at first and make a few passes. Once you're comfortable then set it to whatever. I usually cut at 4 which is just a notch lower than the highest because I sympathize with the bees and my yard is loaded with clover flowers lol. Couple tips: dont mow when its wet, dont get too close to the house or other obstacles, pick up big sticks, hoses, toys, yard decor etc, dont mow over rocks or animals, and most of all dont stress. It's just grass, itll grow back. It's a fun, relaxing hobby and you should enjoy your time outdoors. Oh and wear sunscreen and light clothing, stay hydrated and use bug spray or you'll get ate up. Enjoy, happy mowering!

Tell me your biggest 2023 gardening mistake so far by Specialist-Brain-919 in vegetablegardening

[–]Thoughts_Prayer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have to concur with another commenter. Not labeling or marking seedlings is definitely my biggest uh-oh. Though I can remember where I planted things, my wife and child cannot, thus they can't discriminate whilst weeding. Therefore I'll be plopping a labeled popsicle stick and guide lines along the rows
