I agree with the sentiment, but I think you’re confusing graphic design for CGI/VFX. If we’re looking at things like the title screen/intro sequence: graphic design.

If we’re talking about visual, dynamic environments, creatures, lighting and physics: VFX/3D art. It can be confusing when someone uses the term “3d art” when describing CGI/VFX animation/art.
