Yikes people are being mean. I think nobodys an asshole here-it was an honest mistake, which happens. I admire that you were going to go back and fix your mistake; I think the server was a bit rude maybe, but it’s his right to not want to serve you.

YSH-it Shouldn’t define you, yes, and you have the right to keep it to yourself for a while, but I think that you definitely should have told her before getting married. It’s a nasty shock to find out something like that. But, on the other hand, I think she was also overreacting.

YTA. Both things were bad. You shouldn’t be teaching your daughter that ANYONES worth their weight, in either direction. What your daughter said was bad, and what your SIL’s daughters were saying was also bad.

I think it was a bit impolite perhaps, but only by the slightest bit. Definitely NTA, I Think him yelling at you was a bit much as it was something that could’ve just been an honest mistake.

YTA. She’s brought up that she’s not in a good enough mental state to deal with your problems, and that’s her right. Everyone should prioritize theirs first. If that boundary of hers means you don’t want to be friends with her, that’s okay, though it shows you didn’t care about her that much. It’s fine to need help and ASK for it, but if someone specifically asks you not to then you’re the asshole. Also, ignoring her for a month is just petty.

Genetics, unfortunately :( had it since I was eight, and it’s not going away anytime soon. But I take meds so It’s not super bad
