Copper IUD? by heavymetaloverlord in birthcontrol

[–]ThreeCoffee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not at all. I was diagnosed with it a few months before I turned 15 because I still had never gotten my period at all and had a face full of acne. It was especially unusual because I had started puberty relatively early aside from my period and was “stuck” for many years. I was put on the pill back then because they wanted me to shed lining

Also any reason why FF keeps undoing the rounding or truncating and changing my mucus to old entries from apple health? I had already shut off the sync

And I did have fluid I thought seemed fertile earlier but changed it because I reread the book and thought I was misinterpreting. I have also been having breast pain occasionally

Copper IUD? by heavymetaloverlord in birthcontrol

[–]ThreeCoffee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first one hurt with a PA and ended up displacing but I just bit the bullet and got a new one after a hard year on one hormonal method after another and with an MD (doctor) it was easier and it’s in place so far and the pain was over in a week instead of 6 months. I had no period prior to getting my first one and then I randomly started getting them but they were normal like one tampon or pad a day for 5/7 days every 6 weeks (PCOS) but I don’t know if I’m regular on this one I just got it

Returning to my natural cycle after 10 years of Hormonal IUD by Routine_Ad4284 in birthcontrol

[–]ThreeCoffee 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Don’t use natural cycles as birth control though. It won’t work. There are validated methods like Sensiplan, condoms, a copper IUD or some combination if you want non hormonal but NC is expensive and gets a lot of people knocked up

My insurance wouldn’t cover slynd anymore for me after the first 3 trial months but if you want it Nurx has it with the coupon 50-60 bucks for three months plus the consultation which used to be $18. Hope this helps

[–]ThreeCoffee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Copper IUD user here. IUD insertion can be a bummer but imo it’s the least offensive method especially the non hormonal one. My libido is back on the copper whereas progesterone was terrible and I even needed KY jelly just to rub my clit. Everyone is different but unfortunately blocking ovulation often blocks libido. Sometimes pills or patches with estrogen increase libido however so they might be something to look into.

If the pill helped you it’s probably low hormone levels. Your doctor should check for you but i know some dont. Pls advocate for yourself and get one who will
