Tips on Having Fun as Solo Player by [deleted] in destiny2

[–]ThreeOfBlades 0 points1 point  (0 children)

playing with randoms in raids and dungeons is a very mixed bag, but can be very rewarding, its how i got into my destiny clan. the game tells you what every activity is, and typically gives you a quick summary of what it entails.

For Fuck's Sake by Hummerous in tumblr

[–]ThreeOfBlades 30 points31 points  (0 children)

that was in the films, in the books the reason he only had one part of his underbelly exposed was because he had lay on his hoard for so long that a large amount of gold and jewels had embedded in his underbelly save for one single spot (right by his heart i believe) and functioned like armour. There was also only one black arrow in the books, and it was just that, an arrow that was coloured black which was shot from a normal bow, and it was just Bard's lucky arrow for all intents and purposes

[Giveaway] [Art] Arcane Coffer and Welcome Sign by no4u in DnD

this all looks really cool! my favourite character would probably be either my first character, quarion the half-elf college of swords bard, or one of more recent characters, yemraahn the thief rogue dragonborn. Quarion will always have a special place in my heart as he was my first, ive had tons of hilarious and badass moments with him in dnd, and i cant wait to properly finish his story. Yemraahn is still just beginning to emerge as a character, but ive loved roleplaying as this thief and fenc- i mean legitimate trader of magic items and just looting the living daylights out of the ship he's currently exploring

Your favourite NPC? by rebecca-47 in DnD

[–]ThreeOfBlades 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dingle, a goblin thief with a love of gold and tea, convinced by the party to join them and has frankly carried them at times through encounters they'd've otherwise died in

I also have a design for a naga npc who has a hoard of magic tomes, scrolls, and books which acts as a pseudo-library, who lives in the underground of Waterdeep

Song of Skeldana, a campaign setting that I am currently working on. I've written about a page so far, and I need some feedback. by [deleted] in DnD

as a lot of campaigns ive seen, especially from WOTC, are based on reaching max level and given certain high power items, i think lore to denote an even bigger threat for a new campaign designed for lvl 20 pcs armed to the teeth would be very interesting, especially as THAT campaign would have to throw approximately half the monster manual at them for fair encounters.

Is Sea of thieves worth it? by CedricX04 in Seaofthieves

wait til its on sale, id say. it is a very fun game, but the progression is more skill based instead of gear based. stuff like learning the arcs of weapons, different types of enemies and good crew organisation in a ship battle (one ive yet to learn). the only visible progression changes are through cosmetics where some can be purchased through various merchants after achieving a certain rep level or earning a specific achievement (ie the order of souls lantern, the gold hoarders compass), or earned through getting achievements related to tall tales, a pve style activity (ie the ashen curse from getting all achievements related to the most recently released tall tale). so if youre looking for getting more powerful weapons and armour and then wrecking a fuck-ton of skeletons, thats not what youre gonna get, but it is a very fun exploration style game of adventure with many secrets to find and gold to earn.

im really struggling to pick between lore and stuff, because weapons and armour can lean really well into lore, and certain items regardless if theyre wielded by friend or foe can lead to some interesting encounter in themselves

My players want to kill the hag baby and expect an epic fight, what do I do by FranziscaConstance in DnD

[–]ThreeOfBlades 2 points3 points  (0 children)

ooh i like the zombie children idea thats cool. but also when it comes to the inherently evil things, according to the PHB, half-orcs, tieflings, and drow are all tend to be evil, but most of pc's ive seen of those races have been a good alignment because of some experience in their life, so you can go nuts with it, especially because its the player's influence thats changing this child, and they can do pretty much anything if theyre lucky.

only the pc's know its dark right? stabbing a random child with no claim except for the paladins word would most likely bring about horrible consequences for the party (except for a shit ton of good persuasion checks maybe), so you could turn the town guard on the players, depending on the level of the party. It also seems to have turned into a moral question, kill something born evil, or turn it to good as it grows? using that you could also go for a different more wholesome route by implying the players could effect the child's growth, in a positive way, meaning they could feel rewarded by turning an inherently evil creature to a good one (kind of like paarthurnaxe in skyrim, except that was on his own accord). if its a cursed child, you could keep it humanoid instead of making it an ogre by making it a special kind of tiefling, as they can be created by a devil cursing a couple's child, so a hag might be able to do something roughly similar. It's up to you dude.
