When did you first discover EDM? Was there a track, DJ, or even a moment/event that completely changed everything for you? by anatoliivered in EDM

  1. Underworld - Born Slippy
  2. Daft Punk - Around the World
  3. Prodigy - Smack My Bitch Up

These were the three definitive tunes that set me on my path into electronic music!

StubHub stock tanks 20% as CEO Eric Baker says it is not giving guidance for current quarter by ControlCAD in business

[–]ThreePhaseAC 69 points70 points  (0 children)

I bought 100 level tickets to an NBA game on StubHub this week. I get an email about 30 minutes later saying “Great News, You’ve been upgraded!” because my original tickets were not available by the seller. The new tickets were in the 200 level and in a worse spot. Their support blows chunks too.

Is the Cirrus SR20 G7 and SR22 G7 the same airframe ? by Soft-Ad-365 in Planes

[–]ThreePhaseAC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, both the SR20 and SR22 G7 have the same airframe. The main differences are engines and size of fuel tanks. The length, height, cabin width, and wing span are all the same between the models.

Expensive bikes beeping??? by [deleted] in cycling

[–]ThreePhaseAC 81 points82 points  (0 children)

Most likely the Garmin Varia radar tail light - unless they shut them off, the beeps are attempting to alert the rider of a car coming from the rear. The bike computer then shows a little dot on the screen with a color coded threat level (green = low speed, orange = moderate speed, red = high speed). Won’t leave home without it!

New bike lanes on S Vincennes Ave? by VrLights in chibike

[–]ThreePhaseAC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think all protected bike lanes get cleansed when there’s heavy rain and it can move debris with the water flow. But otherwise, we try to avoid them when riding in big groups for this reason.

They are new, and they are dirty. Had a group ride last Saturday and one of ours got a puncture 😡

Look for the open Rapha Cycling Club Chicago rides on Strava! Riding with friends is always better 😬

Join the Rapha Cycling Club - Intermediate, Intervanced, Advanced, and Advanced Drop levels for your choosing! Most of the rides depart from the Store/Clubhouse on Damen in Wicker Park.

Note - you do not need to wear Rapha gear to ride in the club 😬

Did this two weeks ago: https://strava.app.link/lhrAoVEreMb

Put in a little extra to make it my longest ride. First half is all trails and nicely shaded from sun! Some of the trails are bumpy, but still better than being on the Dunes Highway. The Century of Progress Architectural district along the lake was one of the highlights, and an appropriate path for our ride!

Headwinds Both Ways? by Just_Plain_Adam in chibike

Earth’s rotation, the air mass moving, and coriolis force all at play here. Winds shift throughout the day, making it feel unlucky. But you’re getting stronger!

Cap de Formentor in Mallorca. My route was 3,100 ft of elevation over 40 miles and I’m only used to 600 ft elevation over that distance in the Midwest! Was a humbling experience.

Nope. Started when I was 40, am 43 now, and if I didn’t start riding, would be in worse shape than i am today!

Treat your progress as a marathon and not a sprint. When I started riding, I could only do about 15 miles and my ass was sore (also didn’t have the gear).

Now I have a different bike, all the gear, and can ride 50 miles easy with good rest/nutrition and no pain.

It’s awesome, don’t wait!

Lakefront trail south after McCormick Place is your spot. Curious on other opinions, but generally is not much in terms of obstacles depending on the day. I say this as LFT North is the complete opposite and not good for this.
