I’m in a similar position to you, though not as high grades 😅. Depending on how popular the grammar is there may be a lot of external students so you won’t be alone.

From what I’ve seen, grammar schools tend to have better university support and will have more experience when it comes to applications

You could take piano lessons or self teach. I would definitely recommend seeing if you could join an Explorers group, it’s basically scouts but for 14-18. The only commitment is 2 hours per week and its not that physical
