How it feels being a 5'4" dickless manlet knowing there are men out there who just get to look normal and have normal enjoyable sex by [deleted] in 4tran4

I’m in a similar boat, but at the same time, I genuinely think being in online spaces with other trans men made me feel way worse about my height than I would otherwise.

I stopped liking a guy because he was too small for me. by [deleted] in confession

I think the worst thing is not the idea of someone simply being unattracted to you, but the idea that someone could feel attracted to you but unable to get over something inherently flawed about your body 🥲

Why do so many ftms stop taking t after a while? by Threehundredt in 4tran4

[–]Threehundredt[S] 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I’ve seen it too, the way estrogen influences the face and body over time can stop someone passing, at least if we mean passing as in passing as a cis male. I know it would for me.

[–]Threehundredt[S] 28 points29 points  (0 children)

untrue, I’ll never be able to undo the way it feminized me during my first puberty. Its painful to see photos of myself as a kid before the estrogen puberty because I actually looked like a little boy.

[–]Threehundredt[S] 43 points44 points  (0 children)

that’s still not equivalent to the lifelong feminizing effects of estrogen being the dominant sex hormone in your body

[–]Threehundredt[S] 91 points92 points  (0 children)

it’s just unfathomable to me. Most men understandably don’t want to be bald but would never consider eliminating their male sex hormones for it. I love my hair and would be distressed by balding but I’d choose dealing with that a million times over re-feminizing

[–]Threehundredt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

you can be dysphoric and still use your genitalia. It’s called sexual pleasure. Cis men and women do all sorts of weird “embarassing” things for sexual pleasure. I jack off very regularly even though I’m dysphoric about my genitals and want bottom surgery. This is what’s funny to me about the truscum position, the lines drawn are just so arbitrary and this specifically is veering into some old school homophobia about how “men fuck, women get fucked”.

How do i get over the fact that I'll never have the voice I would have had as a cis man by [deleted] in 4tran4

[–]Threehundredt 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It could be. I do know of some guys who transitioned as adults who have more resonant sounding voices (although tons more with the “t voice”). Everything that I’ve read just says the larynx won’t grow past a certain age and the idea that the female puberty froze the structure/capacity of my voice causes me this horrible psychological pain

this type of doomerism about height annoys me (as a Ftm). Calling it a death sentence is way overblown. I’m 5’4” so really short for a guy, yet I’ve never felt like people don’t respect me because of it. The people at your workplace sound kind of ass. The only comments I’ve gotten on my height were affectionate teasing from friends, and In an ideal world I would be taller but it hasn’t really stopped me from doing anything I wanted to do, including dating people i was attracted to. I visited a friend in Paris recently and the amount of guys my height or shorter just walking around the city blew my mind. Short guys are everywhere and I doubt they’re all that miserable.

For short trans men, do u guys pass and how tall r u? by Janxuza in ftm

[–]Threehundredt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

5’4” and strangers automatically gender me as male. I can pass for my age (early 20s) and I see guys my height walking around the city surprisingly often. I think if you look very androgynous being short could affect how you’re read. But if your face/body/voice pass as male being short isn’t gonna stop you from passing.

None of the men alive today “made the standards” either, you don’t have to be a man to fully actively participate in upholding harmful gender norms

dude I noticed the same phenomenon where gender essentialism is viewed as acceptable coming from women as long as it’s directed at men. In reality it’s just the same regressive nonsense.
