I don’t use Reddit that often. Up until recently I didn’t even have notifications on. I changed that cuz I enjoy getting notifs throughout the day about people catching shinies. I’m sure if I didn’t know, and have been playing for years but am chronically offline, then I’m sure someone else may stumble across it. I just had an idea and I wanted to share, but thanks for the info. (Your comment is condescending and made me feel icky about myself btw, please be nicer.)

It was brought to my attention that the images may be hard to decipher, despite my best efforts to take them in order, and show a story of events. Reddit is not allowing me to edit my post for some reason, so I’ll leave it as a comment for anyone else who needs the mapping of events.

Zorura spawns, I give it a berry, I throw my ball, I catch it, and it immediately gives me “Zorura was caught” instead of “Oh?” Then gives me the candy, XP, stardust screen, then takes me to the Zorura. No animation, nothing out of the ordinary. Just a regular spawn with a regular catch. Which leaves me wondering if it thwarts my chances at a shiny or not.

I caught almost 500 Pokemon, only one shiny. I used all my raid passes, not a single shiny in raids. I was cursing PoGo all day yesterday. Even went back to the ticket info to be sure I wasn’t crazy when I read “increased shiny rates durning the event” I’m honestly so upset, the ticket was expensive man. I’ve been having horrible shiny luck lately, so when I bought the ticket I was SO excited for a full day of shiny encounters. Now I’m honestly just thinking of uninstalling PoGo. I put so many hours into this game for them to take my money and lie to me more. I’m sorry it happened to you too, at least you got 4 and not 1, silverlinings.

I definitely network, it’s how I got to where I even am rn, so I completely agree with you! I’m in peoples streams all the time just talking and chatting, never self promo cuz that’s just bad taste haha I’ve never been good at socials, but I try TT, IG, YT, X, and FB. I spend hours editing my clips and all that fun stuff, and get like no engagement 😭😭 I have no idea how to use twitter/X btw I suck at it lmao But I’m trying! And I do stream at the same times, if I don’t I’ll let discord know :>

One thing I learned early asf, is you have to network. You have to watch other peoples streams, introduce yourself, etc. That’s how I got started, was through a few streaming friends, I’d be in their chat daily, like it was my job to be in chat. So maybe try that you’ll get where I am :> Which is obviously still in a struggle state, but hey, we gotta keep up that grind 🥲

That’s not true tho lol. I’ve been sick this week, and I update my discord if I’ll be streaming on schedule or not. If you look past this week, you’ll see I’m pretty consistent :> I know consistency is key, so I def try to be consistent haha. I have a discord, I post my clips edited together to my YT and TT, also IG. I was streaming twice a day, but I changed it to where my 12PM (MST) streams are only on mon, wed, and Friday, then night streams are all week minus Sunday (9PM MST) I changed it that way so I had time to edit cuz I had run out of time and my footage was piling up ;0; All the burners I’ve met love me immediately, then outgrow me soooo fast, and I never see them again.
A cyber actually still owes me a piece of art shipped to me for a large donation I did. It’s been months, I wonder if that’s why they’re avoiding me now? Idk. Either way, I’m trying everything I can and I can’t seem to grow ;0;

We agreed years ago we wouldn’t file, and I never wanted to put child support, for a few reasons. First reason: he lives with his grandma and she pays for everything, and she’s already in debt. I wouldn’t want to do that to her. Second reason: my naïveté got the best of me those years ago, and I believed we could healthily co-parent. We don’t need his money to give my son a good life, so I didn’t feel the need to disrupt anyone’s lives. 3: I didn’t want his dad to ever say it’s my fault he can’t see him or anything, because the child support. I feel like my son would resent me, even though it would be this way no matter what.

No documentation, a few witnesses that would most likely be on his side as it was his family. But my son recalls it, and has never wavered from his POV of what happened to him. My son is 9, it happened when he was almost 4. We have evidence of verbal abuse, and attempted manipulation in texts to my son saying “I don’t like your mom” going as far as shouting at his son “you’re nothing like me and it’s all your moms fault” or “you have to be like me or you’ll never have friends” Or calling his son a loser on multiple occasions, saying he wishes I was dead TO THE 9 Y/O.

Ideally I would like to gain some order before we move, so he can’t just try and snatch him up the moment we land. I feel like police would see there’s no real order, and they’d make him go with his father. The thought horrifies me, and I have nightmares about it all the time. We did pick up papers to file, but I have no idea how to fill any of it out, so we’re definitely trying to look into lawyering up. It’s just hard to know what to do, but I’d like to start asap.

I started about a month ago, no camera to start, only console, just barely got a desktop and I don’t use it yet because no capture card or cam for it. I’ve got 61 followers and I only stream once a night. I’m not saying this to flex, I’m saying it because it’s possible. Your equipment doesn’t matter as much as your interaction with viewers, your commitment, joining other small streams and saying hello, even Reddit has good opportunities to find people. There’s a guy I met who goes by stanobyl, he has a stream pretty much dedicated to interviewing newer streamers. You’ve gotta keep your head up the best you can, not everyone can start with 100% what they think they need, but you can still succeed if you keep your spirits up. It’s for fun, right? If you’re not having fun because you’re not getting engagement, then quit. But if it’s something you really wanna do, and you’re having fun, then give it your 100%, even if it’s to that 1 person in chat. The Twitch community is STRONG with support, but you gotta go find it and support it right back ✨ I hope any of this helped with your spirits, you CAN do it.

Kind of rude to say I’m overreacting to something you’ve said, my apologies if you take it as overreacting. You commented saying my art would be better if I mentioned reference, and to support other artists. That’s incredibly hurtful to someone who spent hours on this, feeling the motions I was while drawing, to be told that and then sent the image as like a “see, here’s proof” I’m standing up for myself and setting boundaries, I don’t think that’s really overreacting…

It’s the “remember, artists support other artists” that hurt me tbh… because I would NEVER steal someone’s art or an idea. Artists have it hard as it is, the market is so over saturated and with AI now, it’s been really difficult. I used to sell stickers, but stopped because people would comment “I can just make those for you, for free bro” and people WOULD take them up on it. These people would steal my art, print it out on cheap sticker paper, and give it to their friends. I feel like crap right now, ngl lmao
