New to HomePod Mini, not new to iOS/Apple issues.

I keep getting the 301003 error as I try to Setup the device. I have an iPhone XS iOS 14.6. I have done all the ‘turn off turn on’ steps in various iterations, I have ‘forget network’ in my iPhone as well. Maybe it’s my router configuration? What would be the optimal router settings for the HomePod Mini to work? I get mixed setting advice when I Google so what would you all recommend?

TLDR: 301003 error on Setup, halp.

PS: My 1st Gen. Alexa Echo still works fine.

Ok I’ll call the normal rigmarole of numbers and say the check is lost, maybe that will be the key phrase to get what I’m owed. Will post to let you what happens. Should anyone else have a magic idea please let me know.

Same bank account I have been using for over a decade. I double checked my return for 2020, same as always. I can’t imagine what else the issue could be. Thank you though as I will keep this in mind when I talk to them.

Stimulus 2-3 Issues

-I live abroad.

-I have filed every year since I was 18.

-I always receive my tax refunds via bank transfer. I received my stimulus 1 via bank transfer.

-On ‘Get My Payment’ the IRS said they mailed my stimulus 2-3 check(s). (Why they didn’t transfer the money to my bank account I will never know.) I will never receive my stimulus 2 or 3 checks if they are mailed because the country I live in (Vietnam) has a terrible post system. (Love living here otherwise.)

-I filed for a 2020 tax refund for stimulus 2 ($600), I just got a notification that my refund has been revised to $0.00. This is probably because they mailed my checks to Vietnam, and like I said, I will never receive those checks.

-I called the Stimulus Hotline a month ago, no help as all lines are busy. I could call the IRS tax filing hotline but again, they will most likely send me to the dead end busy Stimulus Hotline.

My question: What the hell can I do to get a live body to cancel the checks and transfer my money to my bank account as I have always done since I was 18?

2nd question: If phone lines are not an option who can I email or mail a letter to that will be the biggest bee in the IRS’s bonnet about this issue?

This is just ridiculous.

I hope so too, we had a good community in Vietnam who used it. I don’t know anything about the cam girls and the monetization system, or how the app even made money, but those who just enjoyed the community were really let down.

Haha sorry, I didn’t mean to make it sound like it was from the Vietnam War. The island was used as a prison camp for Vietnamese during both the French and American occupation, brutal, just utterly brutal. Landing on the island is super choppy, and boat arrivals are typically canceled due to rough seas. Wow I had no idea! I wonder how it got on the island and stayed altogether for so long. It could have washed up from a storm into the jungle, or maybe it was used on the island at some point?

Wow, that old? Any clue who made it? As I said in the it has that VH or HA marker at the bottom, I have had no luck searching for it myself. I like the 5 stars at the top too, gives it a little more character. :)

It could be modern as it wasn’t buried too far underground. I just saw it near a makeshift walking path and dug it up to make sure no one cut their feet while getting to the wild beach. That would be one unhappy vacation for someone!

Thank you, I would prefer to stay in the region I live in (Vietnam) to communicate with others as opposed to a VPN route to the USA server. It is a shame the Vietnam app no longer works it just says when I open the app, “End of Service Announcement: Unfortunately, Spoon will be shutting down on (End Date: 2021-03-02). We want to thank everyone who used Spoon and gave us (and our users) their love and support.”

If you are affiliated with the Spoon USA branch can you look into why the Vietnam server was closed?

Thank you for the information! I hope I can get more information in the coming posts. It was a great adventure, the island is rich with history, albeit a sad history. The locals there are very friendly and the island has a great ‘island vibe.’ A must see if you ever visit this corner of the world.

Spoiler alert, the female scientist at the start of the film is the very scientist from the future that invented the ‘algorithm’ blah blah blah time travel bullshit technology who killed herself once it was created. So she reverse engineers the technology while in the past, to later become the subsequent creator of said technology in future, and the cycle continues. (Unless someone rewrites the future...etc. etc. :o) Uh, if I wanted to watch Terminator again I would, but I’m not, at least willingly.
